was 16 games ago im not sure if this is a shooting slump or him just sucking and never becoming an even competent player ever again...
Mcgrady is a crap player, way overrrated. Its hard to understand yes, but the facts are there. Most of the games he is shooting 30% and famous 3 from 11 or 5 from 20. If the other players in the team preformed like him, we wouldnt be in the playoffs. Scola number 1 in the team. gg.
i just want to see some hustle from him. that's all. he just quit on the 3rd. if this is coach idea, take back everything i say. and you can pretty much say the samething about most of our players. crappy game, but in the brightside, at least be thankful we aint miami heat fan. they have to go through this every game.
Hes not a crap player.....He plays with them though..........even if he shoots bad shots he will still get people in the game with passes.........
I wouldnt say he is a crap player... but he is overrated... especially on these message boards.... Just because he draws double teams it seems like everything else he does wrong is forgivable... He is a horrible shooter, horrible finisher, slow penetrator, and a lazy defender.... His only redeeming quality is passing the ball... unfortunatly, This offense is built around mcgrady and yao when healthy... thus it is part of this offense for Mcgrady to be at least a decent offensive player... Him scoring 20 pts on 40% shooting is not going to get this team past the first round.
Mac needs some serious work on his jumper...Get in the gym in the offseason and make 1000 shots a day man. Sad to think that whether or not we get past the first round depends on how well he can hit his jumper...
Will you believe me if I say that lebron's teammate are far worse? Clevland plays in the crap east (and actually got to the finals beating detroit) but thats not the point, the point is that when the game comes into money time, mr james takes the ball and drives with all his power to the basket and is likely to get a foul. While our mr superstar does nothing but give up every time we are 5 points behind. I HATE HIM!
He needs to shot better than that, you are right. But don't expect him to do that with his team being down by 20.
i think its unfair to compare Mcgrady to the likes of Lebron or Kobe.... Mcgrady just does not have the athleticism or the shooting ability that these guys have... His offensive game decreased to a point where he is a level below Paul Peirce in terms of scoring the ball... however his passing ability puts him at a level just above a player like Peirce
im sorry... i didnt know we are not allowed to criticize our players.... You know... not shooting over 50% 16 games in a row is a hard feat in itself to accomplish... Maybe we should praise him... I mean even Rafer shot over 50% during the last 16 games...
Maybe he isnt as good as an athlete like kobe or james, but he CAN drive and get to the rim whenever he wants. The problem with him, is that he doesnt want to. Everytime he will drive with decisiveness to the basket, only good stuff is going to happen, open players, free throws etc. His personality as a player is the worst I have seen. He doesnt dominate the game and only scores with the flaw of the game. Never to rise the team and take it to new limits when the others are struggling (like today). Trade him and get someone with willpower and actually, some basketball skills.
Did you see some games other than this? T-Mac never will be a great shooter, but the game of basketball is not all shooting
