Some of the goals discussed regarding the TMAC for SF trade were to increase assists AND to lower turnovers. While we would try to not reduce our rebounds or our shot percentage. Well all of that appeared to have actually gone backwards the first two months - heck I don't have to explain all that - you-all were there too. But since the trades - looking at the last ten games - TO's are running 13.8 - down from the first 2 months and definitely down from 16.7 last year. Assists are up: 22.4 last 10, 20.4 season avg, 19.3 last year. And RB has improved, definitely up from 1st 2 months, but not yet up to 2003 level. and the shooting % has definitely improved - I am showing 44.7% for the last 10, 43.2 season avg, and 44.2 last year. One point I look at is assists vs to's and we were only +2.6 last year; last ten games we are +8.6. So based on these stats it does appear we have a smarter, better team oriented mix of players who are starting to gel. Maybe not ready to bring out of the fridge yet and set on the dining room table - but WOW! What a change.
