I think the last one that I really enjoyed was the one where Josh Smith busted out the Dominique Wilkins jersey on his last dunk...
The one in Houston was the last great All Star weekend, everything after that sucked monkey ding dong...
They should revamped everything and have.. - How many Taco Bell Cheesy Gorditas can Charles Barkley eat in 10 minutes - Chuck Hayes vs. Ben Wallace free-throw showdown - One-on-one game to 21 with Mark "Mad Dog" Madsen and Ryan Bowen - Brian Cook 3 pt-shootout vs. himself

ha! Trick question. Bron is BUT! Kobe was inflated greatly when he was rockin the fro and the num 8, leading to the rape case it just sorta killed things. But yeah Bron is more inflated he has his own theme song, movie and bra.
Dear Christ, PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. I BEG OF YOU, MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!! EVERY F'N YEAR FANS COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW FAR THE ASG WEEKEND HAS FALLEN. PLEASE, PLEASE, JUST PUT AN END TO IT ALL. EVERY F'N YEAR IT'S THE SAME STUFF FROM THESE PEOPLE.
This was definitely the WORST AS Saturday Night in a while, though. I enjoyed Fred Jones' win in the Dunk contest. I enjoyed Nate winning his first SD comp. I enjoyed Dwight's Superman cape gimmick. I did NOT enjoy Gerald Wallace not wanting to be there, nor Shannon Brown's flameout, or Nate Robinson winning a third time. The dunk contest is always the most hyped event on Saturday, so it rarely disappoints. Today, it did. Oh, and Nash's antics were so much fun to watch today. Especially in the introduction.
That was the worst slam dunk contest I'Ve seen...and i'm sorry...the Dunk contest IS the ASW. That is what made the All-star weekend...the All-Star weekend...and it was fail sir...full of fail.
Can't give a date but it's when it started being, purely, an exhibition game. I wouldn't mind them having fun but, at least, try to win.
The dunks they do are not imaginative. I hated the Superman cape bull****. It didn't do anything for me. It's just some stupid gimmick. It's all about the dunk, not the substance, and extra bull****. It's just camouflaging how sorry your dunk is.
I absolutely agree. Either the average dunker is uncreative, or they put absolutely NO thought into it before they show up(or worse yet both). Gerald Wallace's dunks looked like he came up with them after he jumped in the air. Just sorry and embarrassing. The other thing is this - players are now too concerned with their image to put forth an effort in those contests. That's why you will never see another star compete in the contest because they are afraid to lose face. That's BS. Lebron should be ashamed of himself for not wanting to compete. Jordan wanted everyone to know he was the best dunker in the league - he wanted to destroy the competition. Larry Bird wanted to use the 3pt contest to embarrass his opponents(the famous line, "which one of you guys is competing for second place?") It was no joke - these guys were absolute stars of the game and they wanted to dominate the competition in every aspect. Kenny Smith said something really telling tonight. In the old school days guys had worked up a sweat by the time they were out there dunking. Now guys are "warming up" by taking some lazy jumpshots and yucking it up with celebs. Everyone is too cool to make it look like they care....what a disgrace.
I disagree on needing genuine art of the dunk from here on out. I'd rather a participant that wants to be there and has mustaches and stilts for props, than some lifeless drone who reluctantly showed up to arena that day cuz he was forced to. Really there's just NO personality to the entire All Star Weekend at all, for every event. Its all lifeless and boring. Wooden personalities all around. Last year Derrick Rose, Rashard Lewis and Daequan Cook had as much combined personality as the actual basketballs they were using. Think it should be an exhibition of whatever brings smiles and enjoyment to people. They need MORE showmanship, attitude, possible display of gang signs. Even if its NBA version Jeopardy, whatever works. Whatever brings anticipation to the events. The league knows that. I applaud their efforts to change things up. ASG weekend is a prime time event because of the big names that show up. Really the actual product is fit for an ESPN2 type of slot. But the league will lose money admitting its over-glorified
What I don't understand is why they don't make horse the main event but inside the arena And everything goes: dunks, shots , layup, trick shots ect with lebron, Dwight, cp3, D will, Wade. I mean who wouldn't love that.
The last good and entertainin one,was when gerald green won..all that superman boul ***** Was wack as hell.that was just an actin show because he didn't need no dam cape to do Those dunks...so gerald greens year was the last good one 4 me
