Larry B's mock draft is one of my favorite mocks online. He's got archives for a long while back, and he's usually done okay in his predictions. He really bagged on Collier last year, but who didn't? But check out his draft this year for us: Rockets at 13: Sagana Diop Rockets at 18: Zach Randolph Rockets at 23: Richard Jefferson If we got that draft, I would totally flip out. Diop at 13? We'd get starting-caliber C, PF and SF, all for nothing!!! Please be right Larry! ------------------ CC.net's most courteous driver Oh yeah, and I'm looking for a job right now, so hire me please
Yes, if it worked the way Larr B has it, I would definitely be pleased. That would be amazing. ------------------
That's the best mock I've seen... I didn't say "most realistic." Yeah, it'd be great for things to fall that way, but I'm not sure the Rockets wouldn't take Vlad Rad over Jefferson if he should slip that far. Chandler that high still surprises me; I thought he was slipping away... and Tinsley moving up.... ------------------ "How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak. This is probably one of the better mocks I have seen. Usually you can pick out a couple of crazy selections as we have seen in ESPN and CNNSI. The selections appear likely and reflect the latest thinking except for Vladimir Radmanovic is way too low at #25. Certainly the Rockets will not pick three times and leave him on the board. Certainly, Zach would have to wait. ------------------
This is one of the worst mocks I've seen. How do you plan on making room on the roster for 3 rookies with guaranteed contracts? I suppose their could be a deal to send the 23 to another team for their second rounder and future considerations. This isn't to say I don't like this scenario, just that it isn't very realistic IMO. I don't see Randolph dropping past the Magic's first pick or Jefferson dropping past Charlotte's pick since their only backup shooting guard is Hersey Hawkins. I have this gut feeling the Rockets will trade down into the second round for Brian Scalabrine or Michael Wright. ------------------ [This message has been edited by tacoma park legend (edited June 21, 2001).]
