My WiFi is fine in my house, I use it for Xbox live on a nightly basis. However, when I get on my laptop, I can load chrome or explorer or whatever, but then it will tell me connection not available. I can, for example, type espn.com into my url bar, get the 'no connection available' screen, click refresh maybe 20 times, and it will show up. It's irritating to do that for every page, and I have papers to write.

Anyone know what the problem might be, or better, how to fix it?

Is your laptop connected to your Wi-Fi connection?

If so, does it say No Internet Access?

    Have you tried rebooting?

Lets go with those obvious thoughts first.

Make sure you do not have two devices using the same IP address on your WiFi network. Can you ping google.com when you log in?

Change the channel of your WiFi network might help.

Don't ping a website. Ping an IP address to see if it could possibly be a DNS issue.

If you ping 8.8.8.8 and get a response just change your DNS server
