Could Langi flourish at the 2? Can he come off the bench with T-Rock(Morris).

    Franchise/Moochie
    Cat/Langi
    Griffen/T-Rock
    Mo-Tay/KT
    Dream/Cato/FA?(DRob)

That sounds like an awesome lineup.

I think that with the zone defense many more players will be able to play the 2 position. It sounds like Rudy T is ready to take advantage of that.

Langhi at the 2 is a pretty interesting option, and if it works it would definitely solve our logjam problem at the 3. Although I'm not sold on the All-Rookie SF corp.

If he's playing the 2 at the LA Camp, I would love to see that on the Duece.

I don't think that Langhi can keep up with the quicker two's in the league. They shouldn't have a problem getting a first step on him. Don't expect Dan to play much next year if Bullard comes back.

With zones, in some sense he won't have to keep up with 2s. Morris, who had no problem guarding jason wiliams at the top of the zone, might play some 2 as well.

I think it would make a lot of sense. He could shoot over almost all opposing SG or post up and he is not slow, so he should be able to guard some of them.

Rockets' offseason tasks in order of priority:
    • Get rid of Cato under any circumstances.
    • Sign Chris Webber.
    • Re-Sign Hakeem.
    • Re-Sign Moochie and AirBullard.
    • Pick up the Langhi option for another year.
    • Trade for Bo Outlaw and Raef LaFrentz.

Do Langhi and Morris have the ballhandling skills to manage at the 2?

All the Rockets need is someone capable of playing the spot for 10 minutes per night should Cat or Steve go down for a few games. However, both of them are usually very healthy, and Steve is our backup SG when they are. We have the 3 guard rotation, which is all any team needs, and a 4th guard like Colson to round out the bench.

Langhi and Morris both can play the 2 spot for 10 minutes per game, should Cat or Steve go down. Let's say Cat goes down for a week. Well, Steve is going to get his 40 minutes, but almost all will be at SG. Moochie will start at PG, Steve at SG, and Colson and a small forward can play the filler minutes when Steve and Mooch have to sit down. Believe me, NBA players know the system the Rockets run, and we aren't going to lure a backup SG here who would only play in the case of an injury. If you want to have a backup two other than Steve on the depth chart, Langhi/Morris are the only options. No free agent in his right mind would sign here under these conditions, and Rudy won't waste a roster spot on a CBA SG just to play in case of injury.

I have seen Langhi and Griffin play, and in my opinion, Griffin is a far better candidate for shooting guard than Langhi.

A 6'9'', 220-lb SG. Last time I checked we had a hole at SF, not SG.

Shandon won't be here next year.
The only thing Walt can do is shoot...well, he used to be able to.
Morris is a rookie, and Langhi basically is as well.
Also, Cat owns the 2...all of which points to Griffin playing SF, not SG.

Morris has the ball handling ability to play the 2, and he has the quickness, He would present TERRIBLE matchup problems for other teams, especially teams with smaller SG. Langhi, on the other hand, is prolly more of a 3 then a 2 because he isn't as quick as T-Rock.

I think that Morris would be a better candidate for the 2. He was a point in highschool so he has the handles needed. I dont think dan could be an effective 2. Also the NBA is now allowing zones it does not require them. Not every team will be in a zone just every team that playes the lakers

Does anyone else see a possibility he could end up at the 4, like Horry did?
