I've looked through a few threads and couldn't find the information. does anyone know if landry will be playing tonight? please don't say he is gametime...with the rockets that typically means he is out.

I'm sure he'll play. He's been of the court for a week and a half.

I'd like something a little more concrete than that. we said the same thing last season when he tweaked his knee and he was out for several weeks.

    wonderful. :(
so much for the ankle being "not serious". I can't remember the last time someone was out for over a week for precautionary reasons.

Seriously, what the heck is going on? It's getting ridiculous that this team keeps sitting him out when they've claimed time and time again it's nothing serious. what is going on?

We can all thank TMac for this...now every little thing that happens, the Rockets staff is going to sit that player 5 times longer than expected.

I'm so tired of all these injuries.

And what really sets me off is their explanations never matches their actions.

I know Carl is not a wimp, but it sure seems that way by listening to the organization and witnessing their non-action.

No, I think I'll change my tactics.

Houston Rockets, you're a sucky wimpy team and when you get the balls to tell us the truth, I'll come back.

    (you think that'll work?)

Ron tried to play on it too fast, Shane too, and Tmac as well, maybe the staff is being uber cautious....can you blame them?

given that chuck will probably play more minutes tonight to spend time on LBJ - I don't think that missing carl will be a huge issue unless both yao and scola get in foul trouble early. its entirely possible that this might happen given that flopperson varejao will probably spend time guarding both of them, though.

You really think they're being cautious as opposed to a more serious injury?

Landry needs his athleticism to be effective. I think its best to hold him out until he's ready. there are only 25 games or so left in the season so you dont want this thing to linger.

We may need Landry tonite more than our previous games because Big Ben and Varejao may flop all of our players into foul trouble. :( :( :(

I agree. This is sad for the league. I thought this year they were supposed to crack down on flopping. I haven't seen anything to show they're serious about it.

Its a smart tactic, but cowardly as well.

it's just a regular season game

Can't you guys see? Landry isn't injured -- he's faking it to avoid being traded after the trading deadline!!!
