Watching Toronto-Knicks game and I have to tell I am impressed by Landry Fields. Last year the Knicks discovered Toney Douglas and now it happens to be Landry Fields.

The guy is only 22 years old and what impresses me the most is his IQ and 'expierence'. The guy looks like a 7 year veteran out there. No panic at all, he is smart on defense and picks his spots on offense. And I love his cutting.

He was selected with 9th pick in the 2nd round, yet he plays 31 minutes a game and averages 10 points (51%) and under 8 rebounds a game.

Great player, who will have a great future I belive. He won't be a star but he may become a main piece.

The guy is obviously smart, being a recent graduate of Stanford University.

It's funny. He blogged for DraftExpress.com about his pre-draft workouts and other related activities, yet DraftExpress didn't even have him in its mock draft!

While I hope the Knicks lose every game for the next two years, I am happy to see such a smart and classy guy doing well in the NBA.

hmmm i'd have to say fields right now for his "toughness". he fits in with some of scrappy defensive teams we've had in the past, and i would like to see us get back to.

In a 20 team fantasy league, my team is really enjoying having Fields for surprise quality depth.

In fact, he basically makes Ben Gordon expendable for me.

Gordon's been rotting on my bench for the last week -- he's too inconsistent, and doesn't make any significant contributions outside of an occasional 20+ point explosion.

What happened to the BG from the '07 playoffs v. the Celtics... he earned a fat paycheck the following offseason, and he seems to have fallen back on his dough and kicked his feet up.

Yeah. He's still a pretty good shooter but he doesn't seem to be an impact player anymore. His minutes are getting surprisingly crowded on a crappy Detroit team. I'm trying to use him as sweetener in trades right now, and I'll just plug Fields into his starting spot.

IMO he looks more like the lovechild of Jordan Farmar and Channing Frye.

I favor him for his smartness to stick it in the face of idiots.

Intelligence and IQ rules. Those who are opposed that are ignorant anyway.
