I'm surprised no one saw this/posted this. Last night while watching TOR @ LAL, start of the 4th quarter, the sideline announcer said a couple of the players had told him:

"We hope the Rockets streak is alive, because we want to break it."

The announcers then go on to discuss our schedule of ATL & CHA & how the streak SHOULD STILL be alive.

Woooo, that lit a fire under my ass & I wanted to post it last night, but the wireless was being flaky!

The way the Lakers played last night, I don't see the problem in beating them. They are playing a very similar game to us in Kobe is driving & making easy shots for everyone else. They got big contributions from Odom/Fisher. The biggest difference is the DEF. Our DEF is several times better than theirs!

They shot a hot 50%+ (53? 54?) & as a team shot 63% in the last 17 games. That seems exorbatantly high & I'm pretty sure they weren't discussing FT %.

    Anyways . . . LETS GO ROCKETS!

wouldn't have expected anything different, especially from Kobe. I mean he always wanted to prove that he is better than TMac and now he has. This game will be on network tv! Rockets need to come out firing!

Lakers/Rockets are pretty evenly matched. Even in pt differential. Here, the home court makes a huge difference. We need our crowd to be loud!

Josh Smith of the Hawks basically said the same thing last night when he called into the Calvin Murphy Show. He said the Hawks want to end the Rockets streak really bad.

The Rockets have a bulls-eye on their backs now with this streak, and I can't blame other teams for wanting to end the streak. Hell, people today still remember that Atlanta stopped the Rockets 15-0 start that one season.

The Rockets just have to continue playing playoff intensity basketball.....and the wins should come.

for a kobe-led team that has not advanced out of the first round sans shaq and faced a much easier schedule since they got gasol, they have a lot of nerve.

but i guess when you're the league's darlings, you can do almost anything and get away with it.

The Lakers are so focused on the Rockets, they may lose to New Orleans.

You know what? I could care less about the other team's focus or mindset...

The Rockets have chemistry, and they can beat anyone right now....no matter what the other team brings.

Let's relax. Enjoy the journey a bit. Forget about the Lakers. Who cares. We've won 19 in a row. Tonight we try for 20. I hope the Rockets merely focus on that.

C'mon. lighten up. What would you expect Kobe or any other competitor to think, or say?

If the situation were reversed, and BTW it ain't!!!, how would you feel if TMac stayed silent or said he didn't care about the Lakers' streak or whatever.

Let's get #20. Then worry about #21. I hope to be glued in front of the tube on Sunday afternoon regardless of Hawks and/or 'cats. And I sincerely, truly unambiguously want to play C's for #23 (and #1 in June, but man is that ever putting the cart in front of the horse).

The team does have a target on them and we can't worry about what other teams/guys are saying...

One game at a time and let's worry about the lakers on Sunday when we play them...Have to take care of Atlanta tonight and then the Bobcats on Friday...
