What if the Lakers failed to make the playoffs this year, and magically get the 1st pick in the draft? Wouldn't that suck? but, it might happen with David Stern at the helm.

    Kobe/James/Shaq... whoa

i dont think that will happen...

i think its more realistic to imagine that every other team will pass over lebron james until the rockets pick comes up...francis/james/ming...now thats more realistic:D

allright im sick and tired of the david stern hatin. Hes the best commissioner in all of sports (well, maybe a little above tagliabue).

last year people were saying the same thing that ny would get the first pick because of stern.

    now this?!?!:

What is that supposed to mean?!?! Is it implying that David Stern is a an evil person? He is a great commissioner, and he would never alter the outcome of a lottery.

If you look at all of the problems Allan H. "Bud" is having (now being an absolute utterly stupid moron by trying to improve his image by reinstating "bet-against-ourselves-throw-the-game" Rose), Stern does not have those problems, and nor will there be any such problems.

If you think he will alter the outcome of the lottery, I bet you didn't know that not only did the Rockets win the rights to the first pick overall, one of their number sequences from the balls was also picked second.

I don't care if the knicks get the top pick, but if the lakers get it I'm going to Vegas that day to lay some bets on them. That way I know they won't win anymore.

the lakers actually have a worse record than the knicks. i have every reason to believe lebron james will end up a la laker if the lakers don't make the playoffs. i bet that's what they planned all along. shaq decided not to operate on his big toe before the season so his team could dump a couple of games early in the season and have a good shot at getting the number one pick. if they do get him, it's going to be like deja vu all over again. showtime laker basketball will be back like they had when magic johnson played for them.

i can already picture the laker uniform on him. it looks better than any other team jersey on him. so it will be the lakers who get him. sounds ridiculous, but i just have this sneaking suspicion that this is how its going to play out.

I think James would look nice in a 76er uniform. Maybe they could trade A.I. for him.
