Much as I hate to accept it, the Lakers are going to win the championship this year. Probably tonight, but then Jackson may give Kobe the night off. The Pacers (like most East teams) just can't play defense. Forget about Shaq, most West teams have problems matching up with him too. But the other four guys on the floor for the Lakers are just shredding the matador-style Pacer defense. Don't remember so many uncontested layups, poor rebounding, and lack of ball movement and poor passing as I saw the other night by Indiana. No wonder Bird wants to hang 'em up! The Pacers' skills are limited and they have no heart! IMFHO, there are probably five, maybe six, teams in the West that could beat just about any team in the East challenging for the title. ------------------ "Who Wants To Be A Rocket?" - and probably a millionaire as well. The off-season will be interesting!
I must say, I hope that in the next couple of offseasons, some top free agenst go from the west to the east. They have no power out there. Go check a ballot for MVP voting and see how many candidates are in the west. Ridiculous. I hope they get some more firepower out there so we can actually wonder who will win the finals.
