Wow, Lakers drop 41 in the first quarter but the Pacers are up by 1. Here's a link: http://www.atdhe.net/
Foster completely froze and choked like a dog but the ref that called Granger's 6th foul should be ashamed of himself. That was a completely travesty. That was very bad.
Dunleavy inbounded it to him and he was trying to get it back to Dunleavy and ended up just holding on to the ball and then airball and jumper that wasn't even off in time.
When it comes to perimeter calls (especially when shooting jumpers), Tracy gets as many as anyone in the NBA, especially outside the 3-point line. But when he goes to the basket, he doesn't get calls like Kobe does. Part of the problem is Tracy isn't as good a finisher as Kobe and doesn't initiate contact as forcefully. Yao is another issue altogether. Refs don't officiate big centers correctly. It's a joke sometimes and it probably won't improve.
that's not fair on Fosterm who was the 5th option. give credit to the Lakers D who face-guarded the 3-pt shooters, the guards, dunleavy and murphy. Foster was the 5th option; his job was to find the 3-pt shooters. the LAkers D came thru; as the first 4 options were not available. more than anything else, it was stupid coaching, in the closing seconds of a game behind by one, to have the team's best-player saddled w 5 fouls to guard Kobe.
Anyone watch Radmonivic play defense on that 3 by Dunleavy? That guy truly is a space cadet, awful defense.
wow as much as I like his shooting, I gotta say why the hell would he even consider leaving one of the best shooters in the game. His head is really out of it sometimes.
Not "fair" on Foster? Are you kidding!? It was decent Lakers defense but Foster should have had a clue on how many seconds were left and shot the ball. He's not a rookie; the guy has been in the NBA 10 years. Was that the first time in NBA history the team on defense denied the inbounds passer from receiving the ball back? Hmmm. Also, with 3 seconds left on the clock, there weren't 4 or 5 options. It was either give it to Dunleavy or shoot the ball. This isn't rocket science. If there indeed was one more option, brain man Foster didn't even bother looking for it when Dunleavy was covered. But since there was only 3 seconds left, likely there was no other. Not "fair" huh? I've heard it all now. Like Stu Lantz said, it was a bad decision by O'Brien to put Granger on Kobe, but the ref is the goat for making a phantom call 25 feet from the basket when Kobe wasn't even trying to score.
There is so much hate for the Lakers and Lakers players on this board. I think jealousy has a huge effect on hate.
