lakers gutted out a win on the road tonight, with shaq playing like a monster on the defensive side of the floor.

spurs are now, is this right, last in their division!?!?!? jeez.

I thought Memphis was last. With an 8-8 record.

Good God, this is the hardest division in basketball.

EDIT: I was wrong. I thought hte Spurs were 9-9, they are 9-10. You were correct.

Spurs should try to move to the east. They would be #1 in the Atlantic division. Pathetic!

The Lakers are VERY scary. If only two of the big four play well, they win. It's that simple. And how likely is that 3 of those 4 guys have a bad game?

Even more scary is that Devon George is playing extremely well. He most benefits from the presence of the four stars and he is hitting every open shots. They are not missing Fox in street clothes. And what a luxury to have Fisher coming out from the bench. Medved looks good too.

The Lakers announcer said last night after about one quarter something like this: Shaq hasn't scored yet, and they are just down by 3 points. They are in good shape.

BTW, Shaq didn't touch the ball for about 6 min. game time at the beginning of the game. If Yao did that, we'd be screaming "Give Yao the damn ball!"

possibly, but i still think the spurs are a lot weaker than they were last year. losing robinson hurt, rasho isn't even close. surprisingly, i think losing jackson and claxton hurt a lot too, since all the lakers did in the fourth was triple duncan and dare the spurs to shoot.

but still, no way the spurs can be counted out. they're still the champs until someone knocks 'em out.

Absolutely. Robinson, even at his age was the only player who could defend Shaq 1 on 1. Nasho needs to hang out with Kevin in the weight room and start pumping some iron.

Maybe the Spurs will do what they did pre-Duncan and just go from a fifty win team with injuries to total lottery tank job in one season...then back to fitfy wins again.

Though I don't think Pavel Plodvezken or Emeka Okafor is worth tanking for...
