I think it would be kind of funny. Phil Jackson and JVG hate each other.I bet Jackson would not be happy.

I'll be shocked if their head coach next year is a Laker outsider. Seems like it's definitely going to Brian Shaw, or possibly Byron Scott if he's fired by the Cavs.

It would be absolutely hilarious though if Pat Riley deserted the Heat to coach the Lakers.

i wish JVG would coach them, win a championship.

then goes on the podium and say, "it's all about the talent of the players, i didn't do much with it."

just to show up phil jackson

That team is about to be on the decline, not sure I'd take that job if I were him. I really hope Adelman doesn't want that job either. Miami or Orlando are much better options. Of course JVG would never go to Orlando. Would like to see Rick in Orlando w/DH and those wing players they have.

I think Adelman coaching in Miami could be very interesting with the offensive talent they have in the big three.

He would reunite with Mike Bibby.
 not sure whether I would be happy or sad.

JVG would be a great coach for the Lakers. And that's probably one of the few HC jobs in the NBA that would interest him.

I would hate to see JVG coaching the Lakers because I wouldn't be able to root for him ever again.

I could see JVG coaching Miami next season. He was Riley's assistant in NY and Riley's health isn't that great to be sitting on the sidelines for 82 games.

i don't think he would fit well there actually. he's not as bad of an offensive coach as his reputation says, but he's not all that structured there either.

top notch offensive talent needs structure in order to work together otherwise... see the miami heat offense. jvg would make the lakers the best defensive team in the league but the inmates would be running the asylum on offense.

Artest launching threes, Kobe yelling at hm and trying to do all the scoring by himself. Gaol and Bynum never being utilized. The whole team falls apart.

It would actually be kind of fun.
