http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?mode=viewtopic&topic=40172&forum=1&start=0 I know the points they raised have been discussed here thousand of times. But.....
Geez..... I thought they would actually rip us apart!!! They went easy on us on the lakers board and in my opinion some of what they said was true except the things about mo cause he is usually automatic in the fourth. And it' s not like he had a bad fourth yesterday.
That Arnie guy hit it dead on. The Rockets have some serious issues and won't get much better than they are right now if this team is kept intact. I love how that LakersFanOC doofus says the Rockets play too much one-on-one
Overall, they were pretty fair & accurate about the game. I thought it was a pretty good game, though it woulda been better if we scored 4 more points
Very interesting posts. It's also good to know how the fans of other teams see Rockets. I am quite surprised that the issue of trading Cat was brought up by couple of Lakers fans.
Actually I pretty much agree with the comments. I used because i wonder if our coaches are the only one who cant see the problems or they simply dont think those are our problems
I don't see how Lakers fans think their team is so creative in their execution. They have two plays: 1) Give it to Shaq in the post, stand outside for open three point looks 2) Give it to Kobe, get the hell out of the way I don't know what offense the Lakers were running last night, but the Triangle it was NOT...
When they are at their best, they get a lot of easy layups when Fox/Horry cut to the basket and Shaq executes a nice pass. But we haven't seen too much of that this year.
Interesting... They're pretty dead on... 1) Get rid of Mobely 2) No D 3) Double Team Shaq 4) Give Yao the ball...
Yep, serious issues! IMO, the current personnel of the Rockets is structural flawed. If there are no personnel changes made during this summer, 2003-2004 could be a very long season. At the risk of being called a "hater", here is what I feel is a partial list of "flaws". Many of which have been recurring themes for threads/posts during the current season: 1) RT's ability to coach a young team. 2) Inability to correctly run and score on fastbreaks in spite of having one of the youngest and most athletic teams in the league. 3) Leagues worst assist to FGM ratio. 4) Inability to feed the low post. 5) Ball and player movement...still ISO oriented. 6) Shot clock violations. 7) BBall IQ levels. 8) Stagnant, uncreative offensive game plan. 9) Lack of consistent play from game to game. 10) Not passing to an open teammate. 11) Defensive rotations. OK, OK...I know...we have all heard it more times than we want to recall. But... The rebuilding process got headed down the pathway of being a drive and kick, penetrating, shoot the 3, we'll outscore you, guard oriented ISO team (Dallas Lite?) anchored by a shot blocking, offensively serviceable center (Cato). Along the way, the NBA installed a zone, the Rockets overestimated Glen Rice's value in an effort to "repay" Shandon Anderson, and they got an unexpectedly lucky Lottery pick bringing the team focus back to the low post. If the Rockets management is seeing the same "flaws" that are talked about here at CC, by Bill Walton, by NBATV Insider, by opposing announcers on League Pass, and now on a Lakers board, then you will see alot of action this summer. On the other hand, if the Rockets spend the summer Status Quo...next season could be ugly IMHO.
