despite the fact that we beat them twice early, there's no denying they've got the same core that made them a feared team last year

not too surprisingly that they broke out in a big way tonight

glad to see it, as long as it doesn't happen against us in future meetings :D

Please give Rox some credit. We owned them two games not only because they sucked.

    that's true

I didn't say we beat them because it was luck or not.

However, Memphis isn't a ****ty team and we definitely caught them at a good time rather than when they get some wins under their belts.

Our wins could of come a little easier of course if it weren't for turnovers and missed opportunities to add on to 4th quarter leads but hell I'll take any win we can get :p

Tierre Brown is much worse than Moochie ever was. The guy is awful.

Heard Rudy on the radio yesterday morning after the Lakers almost blew a 30-pt lead in the 4th the night before. He was his usual positive self saying something like "Any time you can learn a lesson without costing a win is good." I was thinking, "Wow, can't imagine what JVG would say if the Rockets did the same."

Today, I heard Rudy on the radio again after being blown out by Memphis last night, and he's all pissed. I guess even Rudy the nice guy can't keep positive all the time.

And I like this Kobe quote: "I can go off solo and get 50 or 60 points on these guys, but that doesn't mean we're going to win." . . . after a 4 for 19 shooting night. . .

    I pity Rudy.

When the Lakers played them, they were still winless. Did the Griz really change that much overnight?

Who does this remind you of?

    Oh yeah - T-mac w/Orlando.

Now why did he want to go to Houston again?

I hate to even mention it for fear of another Francis firestorm, but Kobe's quote reminds me of Francis' regrettable quote from his first or second year when he said something like, If they wanted me just to score, I could do 30 in a quarter, but I'm trying to get my teammates involved. If only Francis had been more selfish, the Rox would be averaging 120 a game.

You gotta love ESPN for hyping that ridiculous Kobe shot as a pass to Mihm.

he may have played the worst minutes in the history of the nba. gets a running open 10 footer that barely grazes the rim, shoots a shot from the lane so hard off the backboard it doesn't catch rim, he drives and throws a pass away, then shoots another bank shot that hits so hard off the glass that it just barely draws rim. i think i could've been more under control.

i didn't see what ESPN said but the grizzlies' announcers were acting like it was a violation. apparently they forgot to notice the new rule that if it doesn't touch the backboard, you are now allowed to shoot over it like that.

someone mentioned it in another thread, but the grizzlies' announcers have to be the whiniest, most annoying announcers ever. they fit in perfectly with gasol. the entire telecast they are pointing out potential miscalls against the grizz. never anything the other way. kobe goes in untouched but gets a foul, they're all over it, mike miller same thing, and they act like it's a foul even while watching the replay. they were bringing up calls from the night before against us. they acted like it was more like it that gasol had 11 free throws in the first half instead of 10 the whole game against us. apparently gasol is entitled to lead the league in fta or something. it was just nonstop. every call questioned. every noncall that could even potentially be against the grizz mentioned. that gets extremely annoying from announcers.

ESPN didn't say anything about a violation, just that he intended it as a pass, which I think it's obvious he did not.

while the play by play announcer for the grizzlies is horrible, (micheal cage wasnt too bad for the rockets game whenever the main guy was going off on some bs, cage stayed pretty quiet)

but i know ppl will say conspiracy and all but dont you think the new foul rule is kind of weird and ever since it was brought into play kobe gets to the foul line at least 12 times a game, many times on by just dribbling around the perimeter. now i am not trying to say anything but at least to me something doesnt seem right there

Some people spend too much time and energy to hate Kobe and the Lakers.
