I'm surprised that this wasn't already posted. Bobcats win 133-124. Kobe drops 58 in the second triple OT in 2 days. Ridiculousness http://www.nba.com/games/20061229/LALCHA/boxscore.html
Ammo 1-15 shooting...Morrison has had a lot of 1-for games. Emeka had 22, 25, and 4 blocks! He was going against 2 7 footers, too.
holy crap! he really has had a lot of terrible shooting games. i just skimmed the box score earlier and wondered how the lakers let charlotte score so much while felton shot 7-24. i didn't even see the 1-15, now i really wonder how they let them score so much.
if there is a worst part about going 1 for 15 it's the fact that he made his first shot! how many times has a player missed 14 shots in a row? has it ever happened? I can only think of maybe starks against us.
I watched end of 4th until the end. Things I noticed: - Kobe is an AGRESSIVE relentless mofo. And one with free reign now with Odom away. Thats common knowledge but to take so many shots and play so many minutes and still be as fierce in the 3rd overtime as in the 1st quarter is something. - That being said it became the Kobe show too much in the OTs. Took darn near every shot. And when he makes a shot to bring them back (after missing 3 straight) its "ooooooh GOODNESS Kobe does it again". Well yeah who else is gonna get the credit lol. Also Gerald Wallace was giving him a really difficult time of it for a good stretch but the refs kept bailing Kobe out with foul calls and got Wallace fouled out the game. Kobe complained about getting called for fouls at the end that cost his team but he got his share of favorable calls earlier so it evens out. - You think Rafer Alston heaves up some shots, man Raymond Felton jacks up some wild stuff for a point guard. Rafer woulda looked like a wise Jason Kidd next to that guy. Shots not even coming close and still firing away (though he did get 15 assists). Still like his talent though. Don't even have to mention Adam 1-fer Morrison. - Emeka was a dang beast. Skying high for rebounds, dunk after dunk off pick-and-rolls (and bad Laker D), blocking Kobe's shot in OT clean Seeing that I understand why people spoke about having an athletic defending "enforcer" type next to Yao. Rockets are excellent at guarding the paint already and it'll never happen but Emeka next to Yao would just be absolute sickness.
Emeka is quickly becoming one of my favorite players in the league. He is already one of the best post defenders in the league. He may already be the best at defending other centers (distinct from Ben Wallace being the best center at defending against penetrators). I watched him completely dominate Dwight Howard a couple of weeks ago.
I spent a whole year passing that guy in the hallway of Bellaire High School everyday and had no idea who the hell he was. I talked to the guy now and then but was completely oblivious. I only find out after he graduates that he's a basketball player and that too a pretty damn good one.
Geez, 58 points in a lost against the Bobcats?!? Not to mention he had 45 shot attempts. I didn't see the game but I'll give him a pass for taking that many shots since it was in 3OT. Kobe is a great player but there are times where he could trust his teammates more, especially in the clutch.

Exactly...T-Mac had 23 pts (9-13 FG) in 27 mins and we won by 30! Give me that that any time! Kobe is an amazing scorer but for those who think he is Jordan, you are kidding yourself. MJ was on another level. T-Mac has accomplished scoring titles and played on teams where he had to carry the load so he does not need to score that many points any more.
