I think they WERE cheated on many calls tonight, but mostly, they cheated themselves.
The Rockets are now 7-6 at home, after starting off 6-1. Its a combination of Rudy and Cuttino, that tandem is destroying the team, not the officials. Its time to bench the Cat, because the refs aren't going to change.

True, there were a lot of thigns the Rockets could have done tonight to win this game, but I almost couldn't watch the refereeing was so obviously biased. The beginning was worse than the end, I think the refs realized that they were making it a bit too apparent.

But when I have to see Shaq hook his elbow around on Hakeem's head, Mo Taylor get slammed in the face by Shaq, and Hakeem ust get pushed and hacked around all night with no calls, it makes me want to kill all the Lakers first born sons (please no one take that seriously). On top of that, Kobe Bryant apparently is the newly annointed NBA God.

Granted, Kobe played amazing tonight. There were a couple plays where we fouled him hard, and he somehow still got the shot off. But there still was WAY too many plays when someone would graze against him, or barely touch him... FOUL! Kobe may not be touched.

As I stated in another thread recently started, "I feel like I am gonna explode here!!!"

The Ref's are doing an abjectly miserable job all over the league. Most of the technicals they call are absolutely ludicrous. Simply put: the refs are a joke.

Please. There were a couple of iffy calls but that's not why we lost. We had a chance, and we just didn't take advantage. If you are trying to find a reason we lost, how about talking about how we ignored Mo (the hot hand) and Steve (your top player) down the stretch and hand it to Moochie, Hakeem, and a hurt Mobley?

The refs weren't the reason for this loss. I will acknowledge that refereeing has been subpar this year, perhaps they are trying to crackdown on the physical play and sometimes go overboard, I don't know.

What I do know is that when you allow a player to go off for 45 points, on 20-26(76.9%) shooting, that was the reason why you lost, not the refereeing.

Honestly, I'm not sure if any defender in the league could have slowed down Kobe tonight. He was just on. He was taking some tough shots- they just went in. Not all that much we could do. The defense from my view was not that bad at all. We had all you could ask for- a tie game with the World Champion Lakers with about 3 minutes left. We just didn't execute, and that's what it boils down to IMO. From my perspective, the main reason behind us losing was not executing and not getting Mo and Steve the ball enough in the final minutes (particularly Mo), not poor defense.
