I'm probably the only person on this entire board who would rather both the Blazers or Jazz win a championship over the Lakers. Be that as it may.....

If you dislike the Lakers as much as I do, you'll want Utah to win the Midwest (currently 2 games ahead of SA). Why you ask? It simply gives the Lakers the toughest road possible to a championship. If Utah wins the division, that gives them the #2 spot, with Portland likely #3 and the Spurs #4. That means the Lakers would likely end up playing the Spurs in the Second Round (ouch!), and if they win that, a likely matchup with Portland would await them in the Conference Finals. If San Antonio ends up taking the division, they would end up playing Portland in the second round, thus giving LA an easy matchup with Utah or whomever.

Everybody, join with me in rooting against Phil Jackass and Shaq-Fool winning the championship! Go Jazz!

I'm with you on that. It'd be even better though if the Spurs would fall to 8 and Utah to 4. Then the Lakers can play SA in round 1, Utah in round 2, and, if they make it Portland in round 3. I'll still be rooting for the eastern conference though.

NEVER! Never? Yes, NEVER! Well, hardly ever... will I route for the Jazz unless it means a higher lotto pick for the Rox.

I was going to start a new thread, but I'll just put it in here:

Jazz/Pippen - Haters Must Root for Lakers (or Spurs)

But, really there is another alternative ... Root for the Eastern Conference.

i hate the Fakers, so i wouldn't mind seeing the Jazz win the midwest. I have family in Cali and when the Rockets beat the Fakers twice this season, they gave some lame excuse like the Fakers tend to play down to the level of their opponent... ooooooh!!! made me mad!!!

ps. how do u spell overrated??? K-O-B-E [IMG]

Sounds good to me...either them or the spurs, I guess. I thought about getting on an eastern conference band wagon, but there's no way in hell an eastern conference team is gonna take home a ring this year.

    Count me in.
Just as long as Hornaceck doesn't break Calvin Murphy's record, and Malone doesn't get fouled on the elbows by anyone's temples.

So for my dislike of the Lakers, I hope the Jazz flop their way to victory!

I got an idea along the lines of DREAMer's... How about we just root for the Jazz to take the West...

... but choke again in the Finals? [IMG]

This way, Quitten, MJ2, and Jack$on don't get to go to the big dance while the Jazzholes get their hearts broken again.

    I can see it now...
"Stockton and Malone have made it to the championship round once again and as always, they've fallen short. It must be horrible for them to watch the (insert Eastern Conference team here) celebrate winning the title here in the Delta Center. Also, look into the eyes of those fans here. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a mass suicide here in Salt Lake City tonight that would rival Heaven's Gate..."

It would just about take away all the pain of this sub .500 season for me. [IMG]

    not in this life

    ------------------
For players who have played in at least 70% of the Rocket's games this year, Mobley scores more points per attempt than any other Rocket. He also jockeys back and forth between second and third place in steals on a per minute basis, and is just slightly out of first place. If he sucks so bad in shot selection and defense that he doesn't deserve a decent payday, the rest of the team needs to be CUT!

    You know...

I forgot all about having a signature, and I DON'T REMEMBER having checked the "Show Signature: include your profile signature. Only registered users may have signatures." box.

I would imagine those stats are no longer valid.

You should check the clutchcity feedback more often. Signature on is now the default.

Freak, put down the medication and step away!!

OK, I can definitely say, without hesitation I DO NOT WANT THE BLAZERS TO WIN.....not while Pippen is a member of that team. If he didn't play for them....sure.

The only way I want the Jazz to win is if Malone and Stockton retire after this season so I don't have to see their ugly mugs for another season!

Honestly I am pulling for the Pacers or the Bucks as a dark horse.

I am rooting for Bird and the Pacers.

    Root for the Jazz?

I would rather eat my daily Chalupa off Karl Malones bunyon full toes than to stoop to the level of something as insane as that.

    NEVER, EVER, EVER!!

I hate the Lakers, I hate the Jazz, I hate the Blazers. I have little interest in the western conference these days I guess it just a case of my favorite players retiring or going to the east. Back in the days the 90-91 season it was just splendid for me with my 10 foot dish watching Eddie Johnson in Seattle and Clyde Drexler in Portland and this was after first watching the Rockets. It is amazing to me that those 2 guys finished their brilliant careers as Rockets. Nowadays I have turned most of my focus to the east following the Pacers, Bucks and Raptors, I hate watching that scum Oakley so I just try to block him out.

    Root for the Jazz....

Sure when bald Karl's regenerate hair. Oops I mean without the use of Rogaine.

I'd give Shaq and Kobe a hundred titles before I see the day a Jazz fan comes in here with his "We're number one" bantering.

Heck Id even give Pippen the title over Flopton, Hornysick, and Karla.
