Thought some of you guys might like to know. Yesterday I played in a Football tournament in Austin. Their were about 12 teams from different city's. Houston, Baltimore, L.A., Las Vegas, San Jose, New Orleans, Dallas, Austin, Oakland, and a few other places I can remember. However our team "Houston" got into a conversation with the L.A. Team. It was amazing the praise that they gave Yao Ming. They were so impressed on how he could hold his own against Shaq. It was nice to hear. They also spoke of Steve Francis. It seems people other than Houston fans share the same sentiment about him. They said he seems to dribble way too much and needs to play more off guard a la Allen Iverson. They did not bash Steve but did say sometimes he seems to not realize that Yao is 7'6. And Yao seems to finally realize that he is 7'6. All in all a real good conversation with them about the Rockets. We ended up losing to L.A. in the game before the finals. We got third place. Upon shaking hands after they beat us, for every handshake I had to reiterate, thats alright we still have Yao Ming. All they could do was smile and say wrong sport. Good to hear a little respect coming from Laker fans.
