I was thinking about taking my family this weekend and renting a pontoon. I was just wondering if anyone has been there recently. How are the water levels right now? <br><br><br>
Historic lows and pretty bad? http://travis.uslakes.info/Level.asp I mean, you can still have fun, but you have to go further and further out. It's depressing, really.
low. It had risen 14" after the rain last week but is dropping again. http://www.lcra.org/water/conditions/river_report.html You can still take a boat out. Just watch out for the low spots...
I was there Saturday. It's incredibly low by normal standards (35ish ft. lower than average for this month) but that affects people getting on and off the lake more than it does a rental, as the deeper parts of the lake are still deep and rentals are already in the drink. There is still plenty of water/room/whatever to enjoy the afternoon. For now, anyway.
Like Crazy Dave said water is still there just very very little of it compared to where it should be. There aren't any public boat ramps open so traffic on the lake is less than normal also which can be nice at times if you have access to a boat already on the lake in/on deep water
