Get over it. He's not going to be a Rocket. Raef is sucking, Issel is sucking, I say we shoot them both.

Personally i could care less about Raef. We don't need him. Cato is playing well, Willis is playing well, Griffin is developing fast, T-Mo may be able to play center eventually. We don't need him as a Rocket, especially the way he's stinking up the joint this year, I say let Denver suffer with Raef LaFrentz since they seem to be the only team who wants him right now.

If it makes Issel feel any better, as Raef's fantasy manager I also expected more out of him in his last game.

If it makes Raef feel any better, I think Issel should've kept him in the game longer to try and accumulate more fantasy stats.

He is never going to be a superstar. However, in the right system and surrounded by the right players he may be a key part of a championship. He is big and can block shots. Rudy is a fan of players with a perimeter game. Imagine a line-up that consists of Franchise, Cat, Rice, Griffin, and Raef. It is too early to give up on Cato but it is worth considering.

Question for the Nuggets fans. What would the Rockets have to give up to get Raef? I know you guys want the world but keep it realistic. Franchise, Cat, and Griffin are not going anywhere and definitely not for Raef.

Griffin is the only player on your team I could see Kiki trading Raef for (besides Francis obviously). Wouldn't happen.

Personally, I'm major league pissed off at Raef. Anyone who knows me, knows that I can't stand Dan Issel's coaching. That said, he's actually done a decent job this year when it comes to player rotations. Raef has SUCKED! He looks like crap and sulks out on the floor. There's a reason Nick had 44 points last game, and part of it is Raef wouldn't get his balls in gear and actually play. He keeps this up, and I'm going to hope Issel goes Sprewell on his ass.

HOW ABOUT PULLING YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR A$$?!?!?!?    The Nuggets are playing well right now, and if Raef was playing even half decent, we'd be 2-0. Oh well.

Ugh, now I've gotta go shower to get rid of the dirtiness I feel for supporting Issel.

He is not worth Griffin. He is not going to sign with you guys. Try something else.

Why? You're assuming a lot of things here. First of all, he's a RESTRICTED free agent, we're the one with all the power, you guys of all people should know this (see: Jackson, Marc).

Second of all, I know he's not worth Griffin, however a lame offer of KT and some stiff for him won't cut it. We have the power. Raef ships up or he ships out. Simple as that, and we will get more than fair value for him.

Kiki's in charge, not some bonehead like Issel. Unless you guys knock our socks off, you're not getting Raef.

Either Raef sucks or he doesn't. As of right now (2 games into the season), the Nuggets would be coming out on the good end of a straight KT for Raef trade. KT is a hustler... a real har dplayer who puts up fairly decent stats as a role player. On the other hand, I agree with you in that we all know that because of his size and his skills (which he hasn't shown yet this season), Raef is an overall better player than KT.

Whoa nellie, this is Raef LaFrentz we're talking about, right?

LaFrentz isn't worth much more than KT from a Rockets point of view.

Nugzfan-We have something that could give you, and your team some very good satisfaction.

That's right, for the small price of one 6'11'' left handed shotblocking big man with an outside shot, you can have proof that there's a GM worse than your own Dan Issel out there.

We have here a Bulls 1st rounder, or 2 2nd rounders that has effectively handcuffed Krause for the past year from even being able to consider trading his draft pick. Guaranteed to work for the next 4 years!

You too can have Jabba the Krause call up your GM in an effort to get the restrictions taken off of his draft pick!

May the spirit of Bryce Drew be with you.

Anyhow, Raef wouldn't be traded till closer to the deadline, if he's traded at all. Basically, Raef seems to have a bad taste in his mouth. Winning could cure that, otherwise at the deadline Kiki will analyze what he could get via deadline trade, vs. what he could get via sign and trade.

And his cost then, I don't think the Rockets have compatible parts. KT might be nice for them, but not much more than a bench player. It'd probably cost something like KT, Langhi, the Bulls pick(s), the Toronto picks, and that pick we got from the Rice deal, plus maybe finding a way to incorporate an expiring Walt for a contract.
