It is amazing. We have won 3 games against probably the most talented team in the NBA and the biggest contenders to win it all.

But during tonight's game for example Marc Jackson said: "I am done with picking up the Lakers to win it all". I know he is an idiot but that statement was damn true.

Van Gundy added they just don't play defense. Even their big fan, Magic Johnson said he is dissapointed with their effort.

Cavaliers and Nuggets are probably the best two teams in the postseason right now. And here comes my question, are the Lakers really a contenders wfter what we have seen so far?

I think they are still great but they just don't fight every game. I am not picking them to win it all.

    How about you guys?

Is that sarcasm? Or did you really list all the teams left in the playoffs as contenders? And if you're rating them and you have us above Cleveland. . ooh boy.

Are you serious. I love this team, we compete and play hard but look at this group. We really don't have much talent. We can't win it all this year, it is just impossible.

It's not impossible... just highly unlikely. Rockets could win game 7 and beat the Nuggs as JR and Carmelo get frustrated with the D of Ron and Shane and start to self-destruct under pressure making it difficult for them to recover the Billups groove. Meanwhile, Pierce and Lebron bang heads in Game 3 of the ECF and are out for the playoffs. Highly unlikely, but not impossible.

Whoever the Rockets lose to, if they lose, I want that team to go all the way.

Every year once the Rockets are eliminated, my only interest in the NBA is that Kobe not win another championship. Even if the Rockets do not beat the Lakers, I do not think that the Lakers can also beat both Denver and Cleveland.

Aside from the game one loss, they've basically become the Utah Jazz on their own home court. I think Kobe is just getting old. He's played for so many years, and been to so many playoff games its like adding an additional 2 regular seasons that are more physical.

He's got a money jump shot and were it not for that, his decline would be more noticeable. If the Lakers advance I'd expect Kobe to be more worn down in the WCF especially since the Nuggets athleticism is even greater than the Lakers.

The Lakers length, and athleticism is what many thought would make them the favorites to win it all. Guys like Ariza, Odom, Pau, Bynum. All long guys. They're all fading aside from Ariza in my opinion on defense. Pau is showing up on offense but not much else on D.

they are contenders based on their talent, but they have no chemistry and are mentally weak. I don't see them winning the championship.

That's being too homerish. Come on man... Cleveland is still a top runner followed by the Nuggets then the Magic, Lakers, Celtics, Rockets. We have to be the ultimate underdog...

I think we could sweep the Cavs if we made it that far because Artests matches up against Lebron better than he does with Kobe. Lebron can't out muscle Artest and he's not fast enough to go around him as easily as Kobe does.

This Kobe-led L.A. team has always been the Fakers.

I hope this is a joke, lebron is faster than kobe. and rofl at "sweeping" the cavs when the lakers are arguably not much worse than the cavs, and it's going to take 7 games to beat them if rockets do.

    take your homer goggles off.

and lebron also has way more muscle and mass than kobe, so I don't get that comment either.

The Celtics went to game 7 in the first 2 rounds last year......the Lakers are still good, this is just a bad matchup for them.
