didnt realize his percentages were that high. i do notice the steals though. infact 2.5 sounds low. i figured he was getting more than 3.
Looks good. In fairness to his detractors, there is a very large gap between his stats against good teams and his stats against bad teams.
Kyle needs to start. I love Brooks but Kyle is the better starter for this team. Let Brooks gun away from the bench imo.
Yes, agreed. Lowry is playing like a top notch point. I'm interested to see how Brooks coming back will affect him and his playing time. Maybe we'll see both of them on the court at times (possible line-up of brooks, lowry, martin, scola, hill)...seems fun to think about.
Compared to Brooks last season? Much larger, but then it may not be fair to compare because of difference in sample size.
well as others have already said, he has been shooting great. Surprised me especially with his 3s. I'm still going with brooks starting, far more of a consistent shooter and better at breaking the defense down. Have people on here forgotten how good brooks was post martin?
15 games is a big enough sample size for us to conclude this is more or less the player he will be this season. Morey is no fool. He knew Kyle was going to earn that big money and prove himself as a quality starter in this league.
These are STARTER level numbers. This plus the conditions on Lowry's contract are the exact reasons why Brooks will be traded to upgrade talent at other positions. 15 games at this level is not a fluke.
He's doing a good job getting Martin the ball as Martin is coming off the screen and Scola the ball off of the pick and roll or in the high post. Martin and Scola are hitting a good number of shots too. It's kind of fun to watch Kyle's assist numbers come close to double digits late in the second quarter/early in the third. He's doing a great job running the offense. Kyle's steals are also allowing for the Rockets to run the break a lot too and he's getting the ball to the finisher if not laying up himself. He's also doing a much better job shooting the ball only when he's open. He doesn't seem to be forcing the issue by shooting the ball all the time. He's not taking the ill advised fade aways that he was taking when he was still injured early in the season. I like what I see from Kyle. I think Aaron will come off the bench early when he returns. Would be a mistake to place him right in the starting lineup immediately. They should let him work his way back IF he is going back to starting.
