This is the 4th time he tweaked that same ankle this year. For those who watched a lot of rocket games..is he merely trying too much? I've seen him drive into the hole without thinking abt landing. Has he not realized that he has a bulkier body than AB and therefore it's less safe for him to drive into the hole with reckless abandon? AB has the quickness to do those speedy moves..Lowry needs to be more sensible with his moves if he wants to stay healthy. Please lock if deemed as a rant and unworthy of a thread.

When he came back after missing that stretch of about 12 games or so, his movement seemed a bit off to me. It seemed like he didn't have the same quickness to get around his man anymore. I hope he regains his strength, but as of right now I am willing to let him rest rather than keep aggravating the injury.

I honestly think he is looking for a decent contract extension, so if there is nothing structurally wrong with the ankle he will continue to play the season out.

Lowry definetely hasn't looked the same lately. It's hard playing with a sprained ankle because it can get re-aggravated easily. He can rest it, but knowing Lowry, that's probably not what he has in mind.

Personally, I don't find lowry as vital as scola next season. Scola is more important to our team than lowry

Umm...scola means more to the team dumbass, so who gives a **** about lowry. He can't score like AB. Give him ABs minutes, he'll be all assists and free throws. AB is the beteer of the 2

Lowry goes all out every night. It was only a matter of time when is body starts to wear down... He needs rest. His body can't keep up with his intensity.

Personally, I find mustard to be more vital to my pre-game snack than Lowry. But sometimes relish is more important to my meal than both mustard and Lowry. I dunno, maybe relish is the better of the 2

This is where Rockets should pay serious attention to. We need every bit of that 22 games winning streak to make the playoff, and we need yao to play 35 mins a game even though many fans/experts are calling for reduced playing time last year. Why? Because we are not that good a team and are not overspending on talent and the west is tough so we have no choice.

For guys like lowry/yao who constantly banging in the paint, there's no easy solution here. If you are not as good as Lakers or some other contenders, you are destined to play through these injuries or fail.

Lowry's aggressiveness ("reckless abandon") is what makes Lowry Lowry. He sprained the ankle pretty badly and it has not completely healed but he wants to play. That is why he is saying he has tweaked it. It's not a new injury he just keeps tweaking the same injury. We need Lowry attacking the basket like he does so I'm not sure what you want him to do.

He could hurt it worse and screw up his next contract, he needs to be a bit more selfish as a player and get healthy.

You give AB Lowry's minutes and he'll be spent by the 4th.. Lowry does a lot more than you give him credit for.. he gets into the lane and draws fouls.. he's not needed to score because we have plenty of guys on the floor that can score when he's out there subbing for AB... he's there to manage the game and distribute the ball and cause havoc with his speed.. aside from Scola and AB, I'd say he's the next most crucial piece to our team this year.. we didn't win the games we should have won when he was out with the ankle injury

Wow, I'm amazed at some of the posters around here these days.... Have you noticed how well the team is doing since Lowry came back??? Oh wait, you must think it's all Scola. Lowry is a KEY piece to this team. His tenacity and aggression are qualities you don't find in every player, especially smaller players. Some kids these days. This team is gelling and Lowry has as much to do with it as everyone else on the TEAM. Well, maybe except that Hilton guy.
