    Anyone else have a problem with this? This is similar to win T-Mac said that the Lakers were the favorites even when the Rockets were still in the Playoffs.

    with rudy gay in the line up, teams can't double team z-bo. If they keep up the same defensive intensity, I don't see how they can't be a top 5 team in the West.

    If by "this," you mean your analysis, yes. Last time I checked, Kyle didn't quit on his team and stay home and tell Jim Rome he expected them to lose.

    i agree with him. mavs, thunder, lakers will still have home court. spurs should take a drop in the standings, maybe to #4 or #5. the grizz will be right there.

    You probably missed the last 2 months of the season when they came together as a team and probably played top 5 NBA basketball to close out the season.

    Plus, they will be adding Gay.

    I kind of believe him, but I also think Chris Wallace is more lucky than good and I wouldn't put it past him to do something stupid next year that screws that team. Never underestimate the ability of crappy GMs to ruin it all.

    I think Wallace needs a little bit more credit. Yes, he gave away Gasol but that was when they were at least 3-4 years from competing and he didn't want to pay the max to a guy who was just going to keep them mediocre. By the time they're ready to compete, the guy they traded for Gasol turned out pretty good. He made a really ballsy move getting Randolph when everyone in the media said it was a bad idea. He has some good low draft picks such as Arthur and Vasquez. The Thabeet for Battier trade was also very keen. To quote Phil Jackson, give them some ****ing credit.

    Confidence is huge.

    They'll go into next season expecting to win a lot of games now instead of going into the season just hoping to be relevant. They will be relevant at the start of the season and win they come to Houston next season they will be expected (barring some crazy Morey Trade) to beat the Rockets.

    lol, I'm not doubting his prediction. I'm saying that it feels like he is rooting for them.

    Sorry, but Memphis is a division foe, they are who we want to beat. You don't go around cheering for the team making predictions of success in the future.

    How would you feel if he said "The Utah Jazz are a top 5 team in the West next year, book it"
