Kyle has practiced, but was limited. Boykins has signed nother 10 day deal, so we should not expect him to return so soon.

That's good news about Kyle. However, I'd still like to sign Earl for the rest of the season. We have the roster spot.

Good stuff. Hope he can get into shape and form pretty soon. We have a brutal schedule.

Looks good schedule wise. I don't mind if we miss the playoffs, but I'd be annoyed get get clobbered in the 1st round because Lowry and KMart are both out.

Here's hoping Martin comes back and we actually have a legit shot at making some noise.

So because you think it is likely that Martin is going to be in top shape after missing those games and maybe coming back close to the playoffs?

    Long shot.

Martin's best option is to play well. If we plays well enough he stays or if he plays well enough he gets traded to a team who wants to feature him.

If he plays like carp he will rot on our bench till he gets salary dumped. If he gets salary dumped his days of making double digit millions are over.

The next contract he signs is going to be his last big multi-year deal. Believe me he has to know that.

He will give maximum effort even if it is for his own self serving reasons.

Them coming back is more likely to make the team worse at this point, not better. There would need to be an adjustment period and that will be hard.

I'm less concerned about that with Lowry and more concerned about that with Martin...

I don't think it would hurt coming off the bench. Lowry is so much better than boykins that even if he isn't scoring, he can distribute. Then we can have a superscoring lineup or lowry/martin/bud/patterson/dalembert. That is a starting lineup right there

It is not about what you said .... more about getting back where he was....within the remaining 12 games or so it seems the window of opportunity is closing
and I doubt McHale will give him significant minutes in the playoffs with him not having played much before. I could be wrong but McHale plays those who brings energy and played major minutes.

Morris has played backup sf. He has SUCKED. Bud can slide over to his true position and martin can play the 2. How much worse can kmart be that mmo.

Lowry's not going to be worse than Boykins. KMart's not going to be worse than Morris. If you think otherwise, then we'll just agree to disagree.

Getting into the playoff grind, we need all hands on deck.

With that being said, if Martin isn't in game-shape or if he doesn't play well, then by all means, bench the guy.

That's not the point. When you put significant players back into the rotation, it takes a while to adjust. Maybe not the best example b/c of how SVG mishandled it, but look at Jameer Nelson coming back in the Finals a few years back. It did more harm than good.

Sorry, I didn't think a qualifier was necessary with my previous comment. So I'll add it here. I believe a rusted 70% KMart is better than Morris. I also believe a rusted 70% Lowry to be better than Boykins.

And I believed that Nelson was better than Anthony Johnson. If the Magic had played Johnson instead of Nelson, I don't think they'd have won an extra game.

At the very least, Nelson provided more "upside" than Johnson. Just like I believe KMart and Lowry, rusted or whatever, have more "upside" than Boykins and Morris.
