    What an idiot!

Had Kyle Lowry not been injured during the mid part of the season, Rockets would have been in the playoffs this season. Such a shame.

I dont know how many games Rockets have won this year simply because he changed the direction of the game. Completely different tempo! This guy just amazes me. He comes off the bench and instantly makes an impact on the game. Its like a different Rockets team.

Of course it also helps that he gets in the lane, looks for contact, draws the contact, and more importantly, seems to finish despite the contact.

What makes him even more valuable is that he is a tough minded and physically strong player, with an excellent flopping history. The kind that translates into success in the post season.

    What a keeper!

    My favorite Rocket.

    Salute!

Very important to keep him this offseason, I hope we get him for more than just a one year tender.

Thread title seems very negative, lmao.

I am team Lowry, when comparing him to Brooks.

I can see Lowry running an effective championship team, but I can't see Brooks doing this.

This game proved he can play half court game just as well as fast pace game.

But I don't think Rockets would be in playoffs even with a healthy Lowry. He made the biggest impact on Rockets, but not an 8 games difference maker.

Both PGs improved a lot from last season, it should be very interesting next year.

I will have to say that Lowry is one of my favorite (if not my favorite) players on the Rockets.

Well I'm team Rockets and believe both players combined are deadly for different reasons. You can't take one out and have a championship team. If Lowry had not been hurt but Brooks had, we probably would have the same record.

Dude, when Lowry went out, thats when we went on a spurt of losing streaks.

I mean I don't think Lowry is a 8 game difference maker for those 15 games he missed. Rockets would have missed playoffs regardless. We are out talented for most of the season.

Rockets lost momentum once he went out. Had they not lost the momentum, they would have been right there with the other teams in the bottom of the standing fighting for a playoff spot.

A lot of people simply read the stat lines and see that Brooks has approximately the same amount of assists as Lowry.

Sadly, Brooks is not 1/3 as good as Lowry when it comes to controlling the tempo of the game.

With a healthy Lowry, we'd lose quite some of those games too. A backup PG isn't going to make the team win 8 more games in a 15 game span no matter how good he is.

That can be good news and bad news for the organization, IMO.

Good News: This makes Morey's decision easier to re-sign him in to offseason.

Bad News: Lowry can use that as leverage for his next contract negotiation and try to low ball Morey into a higher paycheck.

Anyways, this is gonna be the most interesting off-season in Rockets History that I can remember. Some players will be happy, others will not.

Lowry is more than a back-up PG, he can be a starter on some of the teams out there. Don't forget about that last game against Dallas where he single-handedly willed us to a win. Lowry is a difference-maker.

And what's up with that Yao Ming guy being injured an entire season?!! That's just crazy.
