lowry has become one of my favorite rockets. i think he deserves this thread. although the game saw both landry and dirk out, we probably wouldn't have won if not for lowry's spectacular play tonight. his assist to andersen for a dunk made my day (while thomas leveled chase). ps - i still think lowry > aaron (as a pg) .
I agree, he sees the floor better and he is much better at antipating plays from the defender especially on the break. Also, He runs the break much better than brooks to. HOwever brooks is a way way better finisher, which makes defenses respect him and have to play him closer than Lowry. IF Lowry can continue this type of energy and production, I'd rather have him start over brooks.
so here's a hypothetical since AB and Lowry were drafted within 2 picks of each other in their respective drafts (Lowry 24th in the 2006 draft and AB 26th in 2007) say you need a PG and you have a 1st round pick in the 20's, AB and Lowry are still available and both are the highest rated PGs on your draft list, which would you pick?
Both Lowry and Andersen stepped it up with Landry out. Even without Carl, our bench outscored a very good Dallas second unit, 50 to 46. If Lowry can shoot 3-pointers anywhere close to this level on a consistent basis, Adelman would be tempted to start him.
He is small, but he plays huge. It amazed me when he jumped so high and grab that offensive rebound around by several Mav's big men.
Lowry saved us tonight... Aaron was getting used and abused by Barrera... who is quicker than Aaron as proven by ALL three games this year.
Lowry likes to win. He doesn't give up no matter what the score is. Great offensive rebounder in the 4th.
