Who would do this, I'm still thinking about it probably leaning towards doing it unless Eddie comes in with some serious bulk and a little nastyness. Kwame had some nice games the last two months of the season, but did have some attitude with Collins on two occasions. Being traded could be good for both these spoiled kids, which might cause them to focus on their games a little more.

I would rather keep Eggie and let him develop instead of trading for someone who is in the exact same situation as he is.

You need to go fishing! There you can contemplate the folly of your proposed trade. I think that Brown can be picked up for less! Under JVG both he and Eddie would reach their potential.
In recent years the Rockets motivation has been Small Ball, during this period the development of Eddie has been neglected, but for sure we are going to move back to the Big Mans Game and Brown would fit us just right.

I would do it. Brown put up great numbers when he was actually allowed to play.

Kwame and Griff play different styles.

But overall, I love Griff's shotblocking ability.

That's why I give the edge to Griff.

If Griff can show me an ablity to play in the post, then we'll have the complete player; post, shotblocking, and some threes occasionally. :)

I can't immagine Washington would give up so quickly on the number one pick for somebody unporven who will cause virtually every Wizard fan to say "Who?".

Exactly.... Why would Washington want to trade Kwame for Griffin exactly? Kwame at least has the size and body type to play center, as well as the understanding that he's a post player, rather than a 3pt shooting SF.

Don't discount Eddie too much. Eddie has natural shot blocking abilities. He's a solid 30% 3pt shooter. He hates contact. He looks clumsy. Plus, he had a really bad NBA sophmore year.

We'll, why would anybody draft him again? To trade for Richard Jefferson, Jason Collin, and a scrub!!

Damn....it's Eddie's 3rd year! Give the kid time to develop into a player. He is only 20years old playing in a system that doesn't allow him to get many touches. Coaching was a big issue as well, just be happy that we have a young player with his talents and upside.

I would do it in a second.

If the Rockets were smart, theyd try to make this type of trade.

There was just way too much pressure on Brown in Washington and he was constantly subjected to criticism from Jordan and Collins.

In Houston, he could play without worrying about the scurtiny of a former #1 pick.

Brown has a pure PF body and doesn't seem to mind hard work.
Those are 2 things that Eddie lacks.

This would be a great deal for the Rockets.

I like Eddie and everything, and I want to keep him, but if we could get Kwame for him? Hell yeah I'd do that. Sure, at the moment he's psychologically crippled by Jordan's abuse of him, but it would probably straighten out in less than a year. As fadeaway said, he was a beast when he was actually allowed to play.

    Ive always liked Kwame.
but we'd need a good coach to bring him or Eddie to their full potential.

the last thing this team needs is another young star who hasnt got it all figured out yet.

Kwame will NEVER be an above average NBA player.

His hands are too small for him to be ultimately succesful. I can't believe the Wizards organization didn't realize this.

I have a feeling EG is going to show up bulked up BIG TIME this offseason (and I don't care HOW), and I'm sure Van Gundy will bring the nastiness out of him.

I'll give Eddie one more shot, and I'm sure the Griffin/Taylor combination will be sufficient to get us to our 50-win target (since our target was around 45 last season).

    NO.
EG only played about 2min more than Kwame per game.

EG still averaged more points, rebs, blocks, assists and steals.
The only thing that was better about Kwame was that he had better shot selection. But anyhow EG is better and will be better than Kwame. EG got more of an upside than Brown.

So no, I would not do this trade.

I would love to take a shot on Brown, but I would not trade Griffin for him. Brown is going to be a very good player, he was just not ready to go straight into the NBA. I think Brown could beome on the same leval as K-Mart. Don't you think that would help out the Rockets? It would be nice if Griffin played SF, and Brown played PF. Brown's value is not very high right now and Washington probubly wants him out. Could the Rockets get him with out trding Griffin?

Eddie G. is a bust fellas. He is a man with no position. Is he a PF? Well he floats on the outside to much, does not board enough, has no post game, and shows no desire to bang. Is he a SF? Well he takes a lot of 3's but his % is putrid, can't defend SFs, and has no real perimeter game other than spot up 3's.
