I think Kwame Brown really thought that picture of T-Mac on his screen was actually T-Mac. As far as T-Mac is concerned, he wasn't driven like the true top 20-25 players in NBA history. He would sit out practices, take off plays sometimes and sometimes quit when it was too hard, or he was discouraged. So I don't think McGrady mentally was in the same ballpark as Kobe, although he was a more gifted athlete. Then again McGrady never raped a teenager, so he has that going for him.
Kwame is funny but Jabari's cousin was a Historic Number 1 Draft Bust, his credibility is at a low. You can't tell me Kwame was ever driven....he got a big mouth though like Tmac.
Tracy should’ve won us one with Yao. He’s my favorite player but he could never get us out the first round. He never made it out the first round as a starter, I think he was up 3-1 when he was with the Magic and he blew it. That sad fact isn’t mentioned enough these days.

Then again - when an accused rapist says that he believes his victim did not believe the sex was consensual - I tend to believe that he is guilty of rape, as that is the definition of rape. So - whatever, for all the crap T-Mac has gotten, as far as I know, no one that is in his personal life has accused him of doing anything really terrible, and that is worth something.

No - it isn't insane that I would bring up that one player is a rapist and the other isn't. She didn't have three different men's semen in her underwear, you don't understand forensics. Also - it doesn't matter, she could have 10 different men's semen in her underwear, it doesn't change anything concerning whether Kobe Bryant raped her, and had her blood all over the t-shirt he was wearing when it happened. Then again Kwame doesn't really know what he is talking about because McGrady never said he was as good as Kobe, in fact he said in the same interview that Kobe was a level above himself. What he said is that he would have won at least one title if he had been in the Lakers organization and with those coaches and players. Gilbert Arenas who interviewed McGrady even said as much when asked about it. There is a lot of debate about whether Kobe is the second-best SG ever, but to me it doesn't matter because Michael Jordan was so much better that all the rest are fighting for his scraps. If people want to take shots at T-Mac so be it - but as far as I can tell he doesn't really have a lot of skeletons in his closet.
Uh the debate has always been who the third best SG is between Harden and Wade. Your personal hatred for Kobe is clouding your judgement. There’s never been a debate on who the second best SG is, all time. The fact you made it personal shows me you’re disingenuous in your assessment.
Someone should dig up Jerry West and make sure that he is accounted for. Also, the idea that "there has never been a debate on who the second best SG is of all time" shows you don't know what you are talking about. You are entitled to your opinion, but you cannot rewrite history. There are even some idiots that claim that Kobe was better than Jordan. While it is hard to take these people seriously, they can entitled to their subjective opinion.
Kwame Brown keeps himself busy with his podcast or his YouTube channel. I guess even he made generational wealth in his short stint in the NBA. That lure of being a top draft pick kept getting him chance after chance, er contract after contract. Must be amazing not having to worry about getting a 9-5 job, and just being able to talk to the masses from the comforts of where his studio. The frustrating thing about it, is that McGrady had generational talent, but his lack of hunger early on in his career, then his injuries derailed any chance at NBA titles. I think Kwame Brown would be the first to tell you the he himself knows he was just a mediocre player. But Kobe was wired differently, he was driven like a machine; Kobe didn’t waste time with friends or trying to be liked. After his brush with the law in Colorado, he was either practicing, at the game, or at home!
There's people on this forum who think kobe is better than lebron. Idk what the weird cult thing is with kobe but some are totally irrational when it comes to him so it wouldn't surprise me if some put him above jordan.
T-mac was a chucker. He was only efficient for 2 seasons. If Harden ever chucked like T-mac, he would average 50 but still get 10 assists in the process.
It was a completely different era, it was before the league realized that it's not always a good thing to score 30 points if it takes you 30 shots. Plenty of "stars" from back then would be seen as scrubs today if they played the same.
