I ran across this yesterday during Channing Tatum's AMA.. This 30 minutes was just amazeballs. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bS5P_LAqiVg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> and then there's this.... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZTidn2dBYbY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Only watched the first 2 minutes, but best believe I'll be watching the rest when I get home from work. Awesome.
Even my wife got a kick out of this (and she isn't too into such campy, over-the-top-ness). Absolutely hilarious.
My understanding was that this first film was so wildly successful, they were going to get funding for a full feature-length film. I'm dubious on whether it can be as great as the original half-hour film though. They stuff two hours of awesome into so short a timespan, with none of the fluff that no one cares about for this sort of film. I feel like there are only so many jokes you can make with this tone before it starts to feel stale and/or they start running out of ideas. It's practically a perfect film. I've never seen a funnier half-hour of action-comedy. I've introduced it to pretty much all my friends at this point, and every single person loved it.
Yeah, I don't know how you stretch that show out to 2 hours. I really enjoyed it though. Like you said, so much awesome.
The feature-length follow-up to the cult 2015 short, set to star Michael Fassbender and Arnold Schwarzenegger, will go into production July 29. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/n...-major-investor-sets-production-start-1211233
The only thing that comes close to this level of awesomesauce is that Muse video with cowboys, robots and ninjas.
