So... kudos. I will also give trump the benefit of the doubt that he didn't understand the question (and not what some believe... that he was unaware of the new policy).
Does this reconcile with the wishes of his electoral base and judicial nominations? If Obama had made headway on this initiative would he still support it?
We can only hope. Bit I'm afraid they will be content as long as they can say "we are better than Muslims at least".

Actions speak louder than words. When he reverses his stand on patriotic transgender Americans serving in our military, and there are thousands, and apologizes for his bigotry towards them, then I'll consider believing any of this. Now? It's BS.
Very much this. Just seems like a convenient cudgel to beat Muslim countries over the head with. Some good may come of it in the end. But I don't trust the Trump Administration to pursue this project with an acceptable moral compass.
