On Sportsradio610 right now... Awesome. A "soccer Hooligan" type rally song. Doubly so because he didn't resort to any of the stereotypical crap a lesser songwriter might have!
I wanted to do a tribute song for Yao Ming so, um, I guess I did. My main objective was to get something really catchy that would infest itself in the listeners brain. I basically wanted listeners to hear it in the morning and then go home and have the following conversation with their wife or significan other: P1-"I heard this quirky song this morning. I CANNOT GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!" P2-"What was it about?" P1-"Yao Ming." P2-"Did you like it?" P1-"I don't know." But then before P2 could even ask another question P1 starts singing... "Yao Ming, Yao Ming, Yao Ming, Yao Ming...Yao Ming, Yao Ming" And soon they are both sitting in a trance like state unable to stop repeating the hook. I hope everyone likes it. I would like to have the crowd at Compaq chanting it at some point. Think how welcome our newest star would feel with the crowd singing the hooligan-esque chant...it would be awesome.
