After the Texans win over the New England Patriots Sunday McNair said Kubiak would continue as his head coach during the 2010 season. "He's our coach," McNair said in an interview with FOX 26 Sports. "I've said all along he's our coach. "That if I decided to make a decision I would let people know. He's our coach. We're not making a change. He'll be here next year."
a Chris Brown(Kris Brown)-less Kubiak could easily be looking at 11-5 possibly 12-4. cut brown and run the Foster/Slaton/Moats into the playoffs.
The resiliency shown by the players, when facing a 14 point deficit seems to tell me that it may just be a few bad apples. Get a kicker who doesnt miss the makeables(wont count that 56 yarder against him) and cut Chris Brown and our team wins 2-3 more games. Although we better not cough up week one to a rookie QB next year.
Injuries not withstanding(thinking Schaub/Johnson/LBs) anything less than 10-6 is failure. Though I think reasonable expectations based on the subtraction of Chris Brown, the addition of Arian Foster, and the continued improvement of the defense is an 11 win season. The team this year had 10 win talent.
Adrian Foster love is deserved but I will hold off until he plays a season This time last year. . it was all Slaton Love and his season did not go so hot [numb arm maybe the reason but . .. ] Rocket River
I thought Foster started off well. He had that fumble and basically got stuck back on the bench til last week.
Nope, the players have to make the plays; but the coaches have to put them in the best position to succeed. I'm not sure Kubiak excels in some of those areas: game management, preparation, in-game adjustments...ya know, things that are pretty damn important for a head coach. All said, I have no problem with giving him 1 more year; but it's not just the players, Kubiak needs to change some things as well.
