On right now ... Says Andre has a sprained knee, there was no swelling. They still don't know for sure how long he'll be out and he's listed as "doubtful" for next week.
Andre Johnson update Figured this warranted its own thread. ONLY a sprain. That's the good news. Day-to-day, one to four weeks. Doubtful for Sunday. No swelling. It sucks that he probably won't be out there against the Colts, but it's much better than what could've happened.
Yeah, he's talking about activating Andre Davis, but Jacoby seems to be the de-facto starter in AJ's place.
Here's hoping Andre does not miss much (if any) time. If we manage a win versus Indy without him it would be massive. Go Texans!!
Thank God it's not worse and it's soooo nice to have Jacoby ready to step in..A star is born. We're going to beat the Colts without Andre and make a major statement.
Chron says "If Johnson can't go on Sunday, Andre' Davis will be activated." http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/5142029.html
Well this sucks. We absolutely depended on him against carolina and kansas city. We have no decent WR after AJ and most of all no big play threat. Our running game has been effective, but i dont know if we can look to Ahman Green for a 100 yard game. Our returns team is going to have to do something and prove all thier hype. Also will our defense put points on the board for the third straight week? We dont have a chance to beat Indy without AJ.
Yeah i doubt that Andre will be the number 1 if Andre is out. We are going to be running with Walters, Jacoby and Davis as the third. If AJ is out we will see a lot more passes in the soft part of the defense to Owen Daniels this week.
the carolina game has become bitter sweet...we need AJ asap but he needs to be 100 % healthy b4 he plays again
Might have to opt for a more conservative game plan. Also I see us relying more on Daniels to provide the big plays. WR's are going to be spread pretty thin this weekend.... Well at least its not bad, but the 1-4 weeks kinda bothers me...
