Anyone know if he is hurt or just in the dog house. I think KT would have had a lot more minutes here than in Philly. If he was grousing about PT then he can't be happy with his time now. Also can't help wondering whether he would have gotten a better deal here than Philly. RT has had a rep of doing players a good deal. Look at the way Maloney, Anderson, Dream, Cato, Norris and Price got treated. They all got what they wanted and then some. If KT got caught up in numbers, fine. If he b****ed his way out of town then he is not as smart as I thought.
KT was definitely an unhappy camper in Houston. But, I am sorry to hear he hasn't been getting time in Philly. He deserves better.
He won't get near the money he would have gotten here even if it was a sign and trade. I can see Philly even letting him walk. They gave up nothing for him and he is still just a very ggod backup at best.
You know, though, in looking at his stats, his numbers aren't really down. His points and minutes played are roughly the same. His rebounding us up by one per game. His shooting percentage is down just a bit (about 1 percent). His FT percentage is the only thing to really have changed - he's down about 8 to 10 percent. But, overall, I don't see that his situation has gotten any worse. Thing was, all the four's were unhappy together here. He wasn't comfortable at the three and the team wasn't comfortable with him there. Taylor was basically un-tradable and the Rockets view Griffin as their PF of the future. We need Posey more than we needed KT. That was just how it was and is.
Probably the return of Keith Van Horn and the improvement of Brian Skinner lately has caused his minutes to drop.
Don't know what's happening with KT, but -- KT -- be careful what you wish for and Philly -- woeful right now. It smells like a Brown-out.
KT's putting a bad tab on his career. It's the kind of tab that Andre Miller has: When he's in the rotation for a team, that team loses. I'm not entirely sure, but I think only Dream's last season was his winning season, and he didn't play much because MoT was the main PF.
I always have like KT. He was ecstatic with the perfect fit Philly 'was' for him. JPo's fit was better for Rox than KT. A trade of good guys. So far, which team is happier with the results? Which of the two players is likely to reap the better contract next summer?
Derrick Coleman supposedly confronted Larry Brown about getting more playing time. This, coupled with Van Horn's return, has meant less minutes for Thomas.
SO FAR. I believe the Rockets have BENEFITTED. 76ers have been losing a lot of games but are still one of the top teams. The Rockets are getting better and better. And James Posey has already gotten 4 steals in the first half. He has shown he can shoot and he can score by himself. My my...what a saver. Just stupid referees though.
KT was a solid warrior night in and night out who didn't complain about his minutes or publicly demand to get traded. He stayed professional through his career in Houston and just because he wasn't happy and some of us know about it doesn't mean he stormed out of Houston! There are many players who have handled it worse, and I will appreciate KT for helping us through all the injuries and contributing to our victories even if he was the odd man out. KT needs to improve on his game in order to make up for his 'short'comings. If he would pass the darn ball and be a better team player, then Larry Brown would use him more instead of the "injury plug" he has constantly been played.
