Wasn't there a big argument by some fans here that Kubiak was dumb to release Kris Brown after that washington game where Rackers couldn't kick the 48 yarder?

To be fair it wasn't exactly a 30 yard kick.

it also seemed like he had to kick it more to the right because the chargers defenders almost blocked it coming in from the left.

Not defending KB, but Rackers has missed 2 long FG's this year too. It also didn't help that there was a false start and the kick got moved back 5 yards.

Also, wrong team. You mean Patriots defender.

I'm all for piling on the guy. The Chargers fired a coach that lost 1 game, got rid of QB that won a superbowl, chose to play pee-pee games with 2 very important players this offseason, drafted one really unspectacular RB to replace a fan favorite. Let them burn. If you have seen them play at all this year you know its a curse.

It's like that Britney Spears episode of South Park. Let's keep nagging Kris Brown until he gives up.

It wasn't an easy kick but it is one that the good kickers make.

He also kicked a kickoff out of bounds giving the Patriots great field position for their game winning drive. This after the Chargers scored, recovered the onside kick, and scored again. Kris Brown is done.

well, it was a 50 yard FG, not an easy one, and hitted on the right goal post.
Also in his defense, he got two FGs early (28 and 35 yards respectly) and did a onside kick and the chargers recover it, so it was not a very bad day.

and if the chargers doesnt recover, they will still have him.

but the texans also did the right thing by releasing him.

He also kicked it out of bounds, setting up New England's winning drive.

50 yards is a distance you should expect your kicker to be able to kick. Lately, people have been acting like a 50 yarder is a 60 yarder or more

normally I would agree but since last year, kickers have just been missing left and right even on 30 yard field goals that they should be making in their sleep.

Seriously! Kickers are just not reliable at all

He had plenty of leg on it he just missed it right. He was on the right hash marks so that may have been a factor.

I hope he stays with the team long enough to screw up a kick when the Texans play SD, to payback for fgging us over last year.
