Rockets may trade up, down, out or (likely) stay put. More at 10 on this rapidly developing situation.
Hope it's true. If you have a feeling there's a hidden star in this draft then trade up for him. Otherwise get out.
the 10th pick isn’t gonna be a contributor any time soon…we already have enough young players fighting for playing time we need immediate help
I think most of us assume the Rockets want to trade it, whether they will actually find a good deal is another question. Water is wet.
I prefer getting tanked. Stone is going after future picks, that is his go to move. Or he is left with picking the player at 10th.
That's what we should have done last year. Could have got a lot better future draft capital with a #3 pick than with a #10 pick.
What I am hearing is this is accurate and they prefer a straight trade for a 2026 first pick (top five protected). No need for another young one with Reed and Cam, plus no pick next year. Sad because Egor is a steal at 10.
10th pick has little value so “TRADE UP” = 10th pick + what? Likewise, “TRADE OUT” requires someone who wants this draft slot of little value thus making it more unlikely. Now, trading the 10th pick as a larger package to obtain a star player?……that makes the most sense of these (3) scenarios in my opinion. But it takes two to tango
