Why not? JVG would instill Kobe as a coach on the floor, much like he did with T-mac. They would also actually gain in defensive intensity.
eh, I feel differently for Van Gundy. I think defending him on here for so long makes me root for him. When Rudy left here he had already attained championship success, I'd love to see Van Gundy win a ring so long as it doesn't involve eliminating the Rockets. I don't like the Lakers but we're not talking the jazz or mavericks here. I draw the line somewhere.
No please no. I hate the Lakers and if they also get JVG I have to hate them a bit less (that already happened when they got Gasol). And i do not want to feel even a bit happy when the lakers win a championship.
Heh... where are all the "Players Hates Dour Hard-Ass JVG" Crowd? By the way, given that kind of talent, JVG will wet himself on the sidelines every game. Van Gundier
I love Van Gundy. I got sour on him at the end, but I'd take him back in a heartbeat. My sourness at him was really more my bitterness about the Rockets organization sucking hard under CD. I'd love JVG to have gotten to work with Morey for a few years. Plus we'd still have Tom Terrific coaching the D. Oh well. I like Rick a lot as well and I know he's a "better" coach than JVG. I just really really love Jeff. I wish he'd get the Rockets broadcast job1
JVG, his offensive mindset and Artest, Kobe....... This is going to be good. the whole thing may blow up! ...........
