Who do you think is better? Here are some stats KOBE 25.9ppg 5.5rpg 5.8apg 1.58spg .47bpg 81.8FT % .270 3ptg% .474FG% TMAC 25.2ppg 7.6rpg 5.2apg 1.59spg .95bpg 77% FT% 34.8 3pg% 44.4fg% Kobe has played 62 games, tracy 61 and they both have gotten to the FT line the same aount of times who do you think is better and why?
I really like Tracy as a person better, but as much as I hate to admit it, I think Bryant is the better player by a small margin. McGrady is doing more with less than Bryant, so that taken into account, give the edge to Mcgrady!!!!!!!
Actually, Kobe is doing more with more than Tmac. The Magic wouldn't even be close to a playoff team in the West, and Kobe has the *bling bling* two rings.
Right now Kobe, next year TMAC. Kobe has the rings, has a .500 record without Shaq.. Orlando is 35-25 with TMAC this year, his passing/defending/clutch play have gotten better as well..
T-Mac. He can do everything, including hit 3s, which Kobe can't do. I also think that he is more of a leader than Kobe. Look at how T-Mac can carry the Orlando, and without Shaq, the Lakers would be nothing but a .500 team.
The performance versus the Bucks tonight clearly answers the question for me. 30 points in the first half, 48 overall, plus 12 rebounds. Tracy McGrady.
I favor Tracy McGrady. I thought the Magic were knocked out of the playoff picture when Grant Hill left for the season, but McGrady has led them to a fifth seed. His supporting cast is pretty limited: Garrity, Ewing, Grant, Miller, and Armstrong, but he still gets it done. Plus his shoes are way cooler.
I agree. If anyone saw that Bucks-Magic game then there should be no "Kobe or TMac" discussion. He did this against an Eastern Conference contender too. Kobe scores 50 on Memphis; T-Mac scores 50 on Washington. Kobe is nothing without Shaq and Orlando is nothing without T-Mac. Nuff said.
Both are similar in many ways. Both are capable of scoring, rebounding, passing, and play tough D. Overall I would say TMac is better. If there is any downfall in Kobe's game, it's his post defense. The guy doesn't have enough strength to hold other strong post-up guards. But speaking of TMac, he has the complete game, he can do it all on the court.
T-Mac and Kobe are probably in a tie, RIGHT NOW. But I think T-Mac will surely pass Kobe. So IMO I think T-Mac is the better player.
