Kobe - 3 championships, getting past the 1st round

Tmac - None of the above

    Stats don't mean anything.

I guess my purpose is to demonstrate that TMac is not weak -- and that come playoff time, he is going to carry the Rockets into the conference finals.

    And about Kobe winning championships...

TMac hasn't had the opportunity. Don't bring up the Magic, because that entire team sucked. Perhaps against the Mavs, there was some choke action but other than that, there hasn't been a meaningful opportunity... just bad luck.

Kobe = deep bench (every year), support and yes he is a good player. But don't discount TMac just because he hasn't made it past the first round.

Please. Substitute Kobe into any of the last three Rockets teams that got bounced and we make the WCF at least.

Vince Carter has BETTER numbers than Kobe in the playoffs but we all know their not equal. Numbers don't mean anything heart, determination, toughness, those are the things that make players great.

    FG - 3pt - FT
    2004–05 Houston 7 7 .456 .370 .824 [/B
    2006–07 Houston 7 7 .394 .250 .737
    2007–08 Houston 6 6 .425 .208 .623

04-05 was his last great yr with a good FG% to go with that. If we had that T-Mac the following two season we would have been out the 1st rd already.

    WRONG!

TMac Fans don't care about freaking any of that crap! Tmac is great cause he is! He doesn't need to win championships or even get past the first round to prove anything to any of you! And if the Rockets lose, it is NEVER Tmac's fault!
you get it? Tmac never messes up, its everybody else! And if he misses his shot that's cause he's hurt, can you make jumpers if you are hurt? don't think so. We Tmac fans don't care if the Rockets win or lose, its not important. Do you think us Tmac fans give a damn about winning a championship? we don't even care about getting past the first round!

We only care about showing you that Tmac is the greatest, not because he achieved all this stuff, its because he could if he wanted to.

Kobe, LeBron, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, God, they can't touch Tmac and if they did, its because he's hurt. Stop hating Tmac!

    I don't think so.

Although maybe the officiating would have been different in the Dallas series but nah...officials still would have found a way to give Dallas the series.

Against Utah #1 - Kobe can't make Yao stop getting burnt by Boozer and Ukur

Against Utah #2 - Kobe would have been alone like he was once Shaq left before he got Gasol.

    let us review:
    Lakers playoff history post-shaq:

2005 -- miss playoffs. I don't even think Kobe was out like Mcgrady was that year we missed the playoffs.
2006 -- lost to Phoenix, 4-3, first round
2007 -- lost to Phoenix, 4-1, first round

    Gasol joins:
    2008 -- defeated Denver, 4-0, first round
    defeated Utah, 4-2, conference semifinals
defeated San Antonio, 4-1, conference finals

Is everyone on here PMSing? Relax, the OP just thought it was interesting, no need to rip him a new one just because you're bitter right now (and bloated and cramping).

in teh playoffs, we need tmac to be more like kobe in terms of a more dominant scorer. kobe has been the more dominant scorer the past few years.

however, tracy has a better all-around game. but we need tracy to score 30+ in the playoffs.
