Was just listening to Steven A. Smith on the radio. He suggested that Houston and Chicago seem to be the most possible destinations for Kobe. It would be a Kobe for T-Mac deal. Granted, Kobe would be an upgrade over T-Mac, but I DON'T LIKE KOBE!!!! I seriously doubt this deal would go down, but Steven A is certainly suggesting that it is being considered by both sides.
Stephen A Smith is a whackjob. The next post will read as follows... <img src=http://www.farfromneutral.com/exodus/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/o_rly.jpg>
Did Screamin' A. say it makes sense as a destination or both sides are actively considering it? Huge difference.
you all know damn well that if the lakers did offer kobe for mcgrady you would all be wetting your pants to take that deal.
Could you hear the crunching of cheese doodles in the background? <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nAB5lOIl-2U&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nAB5lOIl-2U&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
His actual words were that Houston would like to send T-Mac to the Lakers for Kobe, but that the Lakers were concerned about T-Mac's back. When asked where Kobe would be going, Houston was the first team out of his mouth. He did not in any way infer that it makes sense as a destination. His comment was certainly suggestive of the fact that this deal had been or was being considered. He did imply that the Lakers were afraid of doing this deal because of their concern about T-Mac's back.
SA just has a big mouth, and who can take his talk as a resource. Morey said on the 610 this morning that Kobe was not going to leave soon, and GMs in the NBA were generally not talking this much.
Agree. This is certainly the first time I've ever heard that this was being considered. I wonder if Screamin A. is just talking smack or he really has heard something legit.
Metaphorically speaking, I'd be wetting my pants for that deal. In all seriousness though, that's a no-brainer. But I don't see the Fakers offering up Kobe for T-Mac straight up.
Tmac or Kobe? The debate can go on forever, however you can't just look at stats, you gotta look at chemistry, and you gotta look at how your big man is gonna react, in my opinion, Yao would be pissed.
Not a chance. Stephen A. Smith, as usual, is filling up airtime with the incessant bullshiiite that comes out of his mouth on a regular basis.
wow, if what steven a. smith said was correct, then we were trying to trade tmac for kobe, and if t-mac was healthy the lakers would accept the deal. how crazy would it be if we actually traded t-mac for kobe before the regular season? that would be a very interesting reunion since the rockets are playing the lakers the very first game.
