wow, he gets another suspension for the same exact thing he did to Manu. This time, it was against Jaric. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2790534
No!! Yao comes back, meaning my fantasy team is finally fully healthy, and Kobe goes and gets suspended. Damn him
Good to see the league is consistant, hopefully this won't have the same "why does everyone pick on Kobe" spin on it that the last thread had.
LOL, Lakers will have a NBDL team playing tonight. Seriously, an elite WNBA team will beat their lineup tonight.
if the league was consistent before, the Lakers would never have gotten a 3peat when Kobe elbowed Bibby...
I think it's pretty obvious what's happening here. Dickie V, who hasn't been shy when talking negatively about foreign players, is paying Kobe with white high school cheerleaders (and possibly Hooters' wings) to take out all of the NBA's foreigners.
I find it interesting that Jaric apparently thinks it was unintentional...personally, I think he should have gotten 2 games as well.
"I haven't seen the replay, but if you ask me what I thought about the play when it happened, I don't think he did it intentionally, and I don't think players should be suspended for things that happen unintentionally," Jaric told ESPN.com. "I think he was trying to draw a foul, and he swung his hand out to make it look dramatic, and he hit me by accident. He apologized right after." i dont think he should be suspended. the league is way too soft nowadays, no way should this be a suspension.
It's obvious the league has to suspend him. The fact he's done this twice takes away any excuse. The one on Ginobilli was debatable because it was the only time he had done it this season (up to then) but there is no way you can sanely argue he should get away with both of these hits. I completely agree with Stu Jackson's sentiment that if he does it again, a longer suspension looms. The penalties for these two plays have nothing to do with the NBA going soft.
