They're calling it only a bumped knee. But it's way too early to tell for sure.

Kobe's an ironman, he usually won't go the lockeroom unless he's in real pain, unlike Tmac !

OH **** does this mean lakers are going to totally kick ass with Ricky Rubio next year? Looking at the Lakers roster... Kobe's backup at the 2 is "THE MACHINE". LOL GOOD LUCK FAKERS! Unlike the d-williams thread... i dont feel any guilt about being happy that kobe is injured.

He walked to the locker room without help and didn't really limp. Doubt it will be anything major.

Can you at least pretend to not be so happy.

dude, dont misread the exclamation points. It's not me being happy. i may not like Kobe or the Lakers, but the dude is the best player in the league and is one enjoyable SOB to watch. Plus I would love the beat the Lakers at full strength if we beat them

It didn't look that bad to me. If he misses a couple of weeks and it isn't serious, this could help the Lakers. Kobe needs the rest.

He's back in streetclothes. Doesn't look like he'll miss any time.

I'm sure Kobe will be fine. You would have to carry him off the court.

T-Mac on the other hand. Well ok...I take that back. Both players will play hurt. T-Mac is just hurt more often, and cries about it a lot more.

So Tmac playing on a bum knee and a sore shoulder for most of the season doesn't mean anything to you?

Not when we are reminded about it every game.

    Nash. D-Will. Kobe.

Nice to see them all get injured by why do they all get injuries at the start of the season, when its ineffectual?

If it was Yao/Tmac/Artest he would be out for the season.

Hell, even Ironman Battier's little niggle is a good 4-6 weeks.

Injuries at the start of the season don't matter?
No matter at what stage of the season a player gets injured - it is important.
Considering how tight the West is - any games that these players miss - beginning, middle, end of season - are important.

It still means they're going to have games to catch if they want the top seed.

    Very important.

Not important when they miss Preseason games, and maybe 2-3 regular season games.

You just KNOW our big 3 are going to combine to miss at least 50 games.

Makes one wonder about the infamous Rockets curse.
