Am I the only one who thinks the Rockets should trade Steve Francis for Kobe Bryant in the off-season? Steve in inconsistant, but he is probably the best the Lakers would receive for Kobe Bryant. In the Rockets, Kobe would get the national attention (since Yao brings so much world wide attention), he would be the go-to guy (since Yao is not an established leader), and he could play the point, the two, or as a three. What do you'll think?

We don't know if Kobe will be a free man next season. I would never want Kobe on the Rockets. He's a selfish ball player. Francis may make mistakes, but at least he tries to do things in a team oriented fashion.

I know Kobe's a great player, and all, but he's not one that I like.

I think the last thing Kobe wants to do is play in the shadow or alongside another big-man.

I think Kobe wants to show that he can win on his own.

I would rather have Steve and lose than Kobe and win.
Steve is ours. Kobe isn't ours.
I'm proud of our team and wish them well in the playofs.

Throwing a fit like a small child.

He harmed his team by refusing to play offense because his coach said some mean things about him and hurt his poor feelings, and he wanted to stick it to him.

I hope if we are going to make some trades we can start to fill some voids and I don't see that happening with Kobe.

I think it would be cool if we could swing some sort of a deal to get Lewis and Allen from Seattle.

Kobe will only be a major pain.
Do you really believe JVG assuming he will still be coaching is going to placate Kobe's ego and individual playing style just for 27 ppg?
we need someone who is selfless and who has their head on straight.
after SF, believe me Kobe is not the way to go.

That antic is exactly what proves his selfishness. LA people were livid about his act. He intentionally cost the team the most important regular season game to prove a point. If that's not putting himself above the team, I don't know what is.

Why SF for Kobe when we could get Tracy McGrady.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...0aA--?slug=ap-magic-mcgrady&prov=ap&type=lgns

Magic general manager John Weisbrod said Wednesday he wants McGrady to stay, but wants his star to make a decision by July 1 because ``I have no intention of starting next season with an `I don't know.'''

Also, he emotionally faltered under the burden of being named team captain, especially when a franchise-record 19-game losing streak early in the year doomed the Magic's playoff hopes.

He would probably love playing with a big man like Yao.

I know he is good, and much better than Francis, but this guy is the BIGGEST selfish SOB in the NBA, we don't need him here.

Plus, he might never be able to play again beyond this season! Did someone post a note say he wanted to play for Denver?:D

My respect toward some of the Rox fans is losing fast. You do not watch Kobe and TMac enough to make the kind of statement you made. These two guys are the best 2 and 3 position guys this game can offer. Kobe can also play the 1. They have mad skillz. The problem is that you will never get them.

Kobe's legal problem is indeed a concern. I would not want him eith if he goes to Jail. But all indications so far point to his freedom. Kobe has the experience playing with a big man. He is a great player feeding a dominate center. It would only be a dream come true for Rox to have Kobe playing along side of Yao. Unfortuantely, it is just what it is: a dream.
