I hope KG and the Celtics can pull this off again. The biggest X factor is obviously the age issue.

Huh? You're hoping that they get away with playing physical and getting some cheap shots in?

There are different players this time around though. James Posey isn't on the Celtics anymore and Ron Artest is on the Lakers. It will be interesting what the refs will allow this time.

Sure why not. It's not dirty and as long as the refs don't call it then its fair game.

You're right about not having James Posey but that's why the zone is the best way to play Kobe. On the other end they have Ron to contain Paul Pierce but hopefully Ron will be "forced" into some ill advised shots on offense. No matter what I feel like this is going to be a 7 game series though.

The guy that made this vid was definitely pro lakers...there is a lot of holding and no-calls coming from both teams, but his precious Kobe is focused on. We know the Lakers do a lot of crap too...is he going to make a vid on Fisher's crap(the hit on scola was just a page out of his book)? Or Sasha? And we all know Ron doesn't hold or is overly physical, right? This just sounds like sour grapes...how many times does he have to say "uh, yeah, uh Michael Jordan never had to face tough defenses like these..." LOL, okay buddy, we get it after the 100th time...

Maybe they will allow this kind of defense, haha.

Looks like great defense to me. Not as physical as pre handcheck rule, Boston played that series as perfect defensively as you can.

I dont see anything wrong with that defense. Just a lot of whining.

That was good, smart, physical Celtics defense.

What this video does not show is how KG made Gasol his personal floor mat.

the issue is the definition of PHYSICAL must be consistant
Game to Game . . One end of the court to the other
    and possession to possession .

Like I said. . . reffing will determine this series
One style of reffing favors the Lakers
    the other the Celtics.

It is not cheating or no per se . . but style

Exactly. I saw very good defense and especially excellent help defense from the Celtics. Kobe tried too many times to do it all by himself when his teammates were wide open.

I don't like KG or Pierce that much but the whole Lakers team is a bunch of douche bags, specially Fisher and Vujavic. I hope the Celtics win again as well.

lol... the video started off saying sasha vujabitch is a good 3pt shooter... which was odd... but then i started hearing comparisons to jordan and realized it was a kobe-knob-slobbing video.... it all made sense.

Yeah I thought that was odd too, but then I remember that sasha was shooting well in the 08 playoffs. 40 percent on 80 attempts from behind the arc. And 150 or so odd attempts from the field at 40 percent, best season he's ever had by a landslide.

Kobe Bryant (not fare well against):
    - zone defenses (are currently legal)
    - hand checking
    - hard fouls
    - physical, aggressive defense (that is sometimes dirty)
    - 3 second rules not enforced

All of those things, except the zones were not against the rules during 90s and going back.

Throw in the equation better centers, more aggressive players, and players who did not mind throwing cheap shots back or putting a bounty out on an opposing player ( a player like Fisher would've had his face broken in two). No way you pull those cheap shots without retaliation.

Kobe Bryant did pretty good in the last series against the zone.

I made it through 1 min of the video before closing it. That guy is so annoying to anyone but Kobe fans.

Does Kobe care what defense you put on him? Don't think so.
