Not surprising. He's great in the post. I wonder who taught him. ;)

I thought this was pretty obvious w/out looking at any stats. Big men all want to face up nowadays.

    Gortat #4
    Aldridge #13
    Millsap #16
    Love #22
    Josh Smith #45

I've never liked JSmoove, and this confirms why I still don't.

that's only because spanish fly is shooting 20 foot jump shots and getting benched for missing them.

Do they count all those mid range contested fadeaways as post ups?

He gets the benefit of being guarded by a swingman, and they generally don't have as much practice defending in the post as a big man does.

    That's because they're guards/small forwards.

They post up when they see a mismatch aka smaller people guarding them.

Gary Payton made a living out of it.

I think it interesting that there has been recent speculation that the Rockets might be interested in Gortat, and here we see he is currently the 4th most efficient post scorer in the league this year.

I watched the LAC vs. PHX game last night and was very impressed with Gortat's low post play.

Yeah, Dream factors into this conversation on several levels.

Still, MJ is the precursor here.

That's because big men don't know how to post up these days

Lakers should trade Dwight and start Kobe at Center.

I think they should start Kobe at the 5 and Dwight at the two. Think of the mismatches. Kobe can cross up centers inside and Howard can post up smaller guys.

And Demarcus Cousins is probably the best player on 1-o-1. This makes sense.
