What a yo-yo. The Lakers and their fans can breathe a sigh of relief since he basically is rescinding his trade demand by apologizing now. There is no bigger drama queen in the NBA.

Give it a week, he'll demand another trade.

but he did not rescind his trade demand - he just apologized for the way it came out.

there must be a way to get kobe and yi on the same team - those two belong together.

I know what he literally said in the article but that isn't the point. It's obvious what he meant by coming out with this publicly. Kobe needs to zip it until training camp. Even his most ardent defenders have to admit he is an immature jerk, at the least.

actually, i dont think you do.

like i said, he apologized for the way it was handled, but there was no rescinding of his trade demand and when asked about it he did not back off. at this point it is all damage-control, but he never said he wants to stay in l.a..

Kobe still wants to get traded... even though he's been acting a little crazy I would love to have him in a Rockets uniform, T-Mac for Kobe would make my day, but I doubt that would ever happen.

    Specifically:
He's making a point to not rescind.

Still have to show respect though...

I think maybe Kobe's agent thinks his actions were so harsh that it has hurt his trade value. Teams like the Suns may not be as giddy to trade away their nucleus at the expense of a potential cancer coming on board. Kerr doesn't even have the balls to make the call (JK ;) ). So perhaps he is trying to save face. Just a scenario you may consider...

He's made a point to waver when asked a point blank question. This gives him the opportunity to see-saw as he sees fit in the future. Suffice to say the trade demand is on the back-burner. If it was still on the front-burner he would have said so. Kobe is a flop-flipping drama queen.
