Whoever seen tonight game ...Denver knew Kobe was getting the ball, and he basically just put the ball down they throats...its his attitude and swagger......he wasnt going to be stopped till Phil toke him out the game.....Yeah Tracy, trust your teammates....make passes.....but you have to show some heart....some will....we in these past 2 games, missing 2 starters....and you putting up Chuck Hayes like points in the 4th.

T-Mac is not Kobe. There are reasons for that, and sadly this is one of them.

    Kobe's a beast...

There is no point in comparing the two. Unless you want to take another shot at T-Mac, which is fine. Kobe has much more help, yes, but Kobe's also better than T-Mac is now. There is only 1 Kobe, and there are only a couple close to him.

You can't compare a lot of people to Kobe successfully so why try? Just let it go...

this is a bad comparison, and i saw it coming. you have to realize throughout the rest of the game, kobe had a lot more help and expended a lot less energy as a result. he didn't have to control the ball on every possession and create most of the teams shots, he didnt have to take on the major defensive assignments. he had a lot of help, and so it made him look a lot better. basketball is a team sport, so the quality of your supporting cast definitely affects how people are going to perceive your play. think of it this way, few years ago when kobe had very little help for a season, he didn't make the playoffs. incredible player individually, but eveyrone needs help to do it. it was not a question of heart.

There's a huge difference between the 2, Kobe is undeniably better than T-Mac at scoring since he's never had back problems like T-Mac. Kobe is also in WAY WAY better shape so he doesn't tire as easily.

That being said, when it comes to jumpers, Kobe's mechanics are 10x better than T-Mac. T-Mac has one of the most unorthodox shots I've ever seen. Thus, when Kobe starts chucking up shots in the 4th the majority of the time like he did today, quite a few will go in (notice his shooting dropped 3rd-4th periods - he was getting tired of driving too, but he can live off his jumper unlike T-Mac). T-Mac obviously views his shot as more of a liability at this point in time and was trying to make others score easy buckets. I can't blame T-Mac on anything here, but I do expect him to work on his damn jumper mechanics during the off season...

You really cannot compare the 2, they are just not in the same stratosphere in terms of skill at this point in time.

Kobe got some bad ass (consistant) 3 point shooters on his squad.

I don't see how you can even compare Denver's defense to the hard doubles and post-packing the Utah does against Tracy. Kobe can slice through Denver's defense like butter.

Kobe had a monster game. He's arguably the best scorer in the NBA. I do think that Tracy should take it to the rack more, but the first three quarters that Tracy played in Game 2 left me little doubt that he can really be a monster as long as he has gas in the tank. Let the man be.

you know last time i checked Kobe had Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Derek Fisher, Luke Walton on his starting 5.

Definetly comparable to Dikembe Mutombo, Luis Scola, Bobby Jackson and Shane Battier.

And against the no defence Nuggets?

    awesome

I second this. Denver's defense compared to Utah's defense isn't a fair comparison. Utah swarms you with multiple defenders (Kirilenko, Harpring) that hound you and pound you. Denver has arguably the worst defense in the league that most star caliber players can exploit at well, T-Mac included.

So you're saying we should trade Yao for Kobe?

Have T-Mac dominate the 1st half and Kobe the 2nd?

there a number things to notice:

-Kobe is a far superior player to Tmac

-Kobe is a better conditioned athlete

-Kobe has a better supporting cast that can support him thru qtrs 1-3

-the Triangle offense makes it hard to double team players

-Tmac is soft , Kobe is not

Why didn't say it when Kobe was 1/9 last game?

And, why don't wait to say it after next series is over?

I'd trade kobe for t-mac in a heartbeat. T-mac's needs to step it up if he's a star and getting paid however much he's getting. If he's not going to step it up then we might as well pay him the minimum. Being highly paid you'd expect to get criticized, expected to be the guy during crucial moments. T-mac played hard in game 2 for the first 3 quarters and i don't know what happened in the 4th. I don't blame him for game 2 and was pretty satisfied with the performance. I was watching the news and saw t-mac being sarcastic with it's my fault when the team loses, it's my fault when i don't make a shot, it's my fault when i foul, it's my fault............... I don't know. quit be sarcastic and man up. T-mac's been playing lazy basketball all season. We need t-mac to put things into another gear. This is t-mac's team right now. I'm tired of 1st round entrance because the Rockets is the only team I care to watch. So step it up because it's really is on you..

Im not trying to compare the 2, I am saying, show some fight....yes, he said he is tired...but thats when he can enforce his will, as he loves to say in wins.....and fight thru the fatigue. Its all about attitude....at times I feel like he using no Rafer and no Yao as a reason to COPOUT......I dont have them...so they dont expect us to win..and I dont expect us to win either....Blame Me

when the lakers need him, he just stand out. Kobe's ability to analyze a game is so wonderful that he can switch his mode whenever he wants. 49pts 10assits that's how it is...

He used to be selfish, now he is a team player. I don't think he really changed his style he just has pau gasol now. I remember like a couple years ago people on this board were saying they would take TMac cause he was a team player and now they want him to be selfish. We need yao back and a point guard.

That's not the point. Yes T-Mac doesn't seem to fight through it thick or thin but EVERYONE pretty much will agree there are certain parts of the game of basketball where Kobe leaves T-Mac in the dust at this point of their careers. Why are you going to bring that up unless you want to take another shot at T-Mac? It may not be deserved in my opinion, but it's definitely understandable. If you do that's fine no one's stopping you from that opinion, I am just asking.
